SA Amateur Basketball League - New Saturday Winter

We will be exploring all opportunities. If our members, teams and clubs want a summer league we will definitely look into it. At this stage we need the next 4 months to recruit teams and clubs to the new league and get all the logistics in place but once it is set up and if the members want a summer league we will pursue it.

This would be ideal during summer to allow Premier League players a competition to play during the offseason. Has any thought been put to this?

Hi Ben,

Understand - the social comps for this particular age bracket is actually rubbish and almost non existent now.

So if you look into it i think you would get a huge interest from kids and parents.

Thanks Anon - we have considered juniors but at the stage we will be keeping it seniors as there are other comps out there that can probably do this better than us.

sounds good - good luck with this!

i would also consider an under 18's (15 - 17) year old pool if possible as that is the age alot of kids throw the towel in as it's Late Friday night games and trainings for District and high costs when they want to form their own teams.
