Most overrated, underrated and worst players
Over rated - Jerome Randle. Doesn't actually help teams win, just puts up empty numbers & pouts if things don't go his way.
Under rated - Josh Boone. Actually think he's the best player on the MU team.
Worst - Brendan Teys. Daylight is 2nd. He would seriously struggle to get a game of C grade social. How is he getting paid?!

Bol, I watch Hawks games. I suspect a couple of those Kings wins have been against Illawarra!

I’m not sure how critical Cadee’s 3s could be Isaac, they’ve won 3 games...
What bothers me about Cadee is his inability to push the ball up the floor with any intensity and create half breaks. Watch his style, he has this slow bouncy way of moving the ball up the court, like he’d rather look good than have an impact.
In Thoesby’s defense, he may be a horrible player, but apparently is an excellent set shooter. I’ve not seen Gaze use him in this way, it seems like Gaze tries to use him as a regular shooting guard, when clearly he should just stand in a corner and wait for a kick out from Tyler or Humphrey B Bear

The first post answers your question.
This is the difficulty with a topic like this: you have to work out whose ratings you're using. The consistency in names coming up here indicates that most of them probably aren't over/underrated unless you can specifically cite some other rating from somewhere.

Who is overrating Cadee? He cops it on the forum all the time.
I actually think he's an OK wild card to have off your bench, just not helped by starting in place of Lisch. Might be weak defensively, but routinely hits critical threes when I'm watching games.

He underrates Damian Martin horrendously.
If we're going to include Homicide ratings in this discussion we might as well list every player in the league, really.

Overrated:
- Newley / Penny / Barlow / Goulding (all once were good, now cooked)
- Cadde / Blanchfield
Underrated;
- Newbill / Buford / Conger (perhaps more a case of, just don't get the attention)
Worst:
- Teys.

I don't think anyone overrates Johnson, there was a reason he was playing in Sweden before this.

Jack Toft - agree with Ogilvy.
It would seem there is some consensus in having Cadee in the team.
So who would be in the over-rated starting 5?
Seems like the consensus is
C Ogilvy
PF
SF
SG Cadee
PG

I got the impression of tyler being underrated and humphries overrated watching sydney...

Overrated
Hodgson - commits a lot of dumb fouls which prevent him from staying on the court.
Blanchfield - inconsistent shooter that doesn't offer too much else
Underrated
Wagstaff - just seems to play well every time I watch him
Creek - starting to get the credit he deserves but the guy rarely plays a bad game and brings it every night

So who would be in the over-rated starting 5?
Seems like the consensus is
C Ogilvy
PF
SF
SG
PG

Creek just has just had injuries consistently. Great player and great energy.

Agree Te Rangi has earned his over-rated spot but was the guy (& Trice) who hauled them over the line on Saturday.

Over and under rated depends who's rating. I'll go with exciting and disappointing
Exciting/ better than expected:
Walker
Humphries
Wagstaff- makes the right plays. Smart, crafty, plays a role to perfection.
Disappointing
Ogilvy- was a superstar with Sydney and in first yr under Bevo in 2015-16. What happened?
Goulding
Holt
Andersen
Norton- hasn't come along as much as I'd hoped

Norton is having a disappointing season after the improvement he showed last year

Kyle Adnam for over rated.

Good list, Frank! Love the under-rated, despite that Pledger & Vukona owe me one from a wager on Breakers today.

Sobey has been awesome the past 2 games against Perth and NZ. Might have started playing into some form.

Goulding’s a shooter who can’t hit a shot.
Yet we hear commentary fan boys talking up his “NBA level talent” shooting.
Most misrepresented player.
I won’t even mention most misrepresented manager and coach.

Hire is there to lift the intensity and get rebounds. He doesn’t need to score to have an impact.
Overrated-Cadee (should not ever have been a Boomer)
Underrated- A healthy Jawai
Worst- Gibson (see Cadee)

Kevoo White worst player to get regular minutes
Thoesby worst overall. He's a shooter who can't hit a shot

Yet somehow Hire gets court time, and wtf does he even do out there!?

Most underrated by his own coach Dexter Kernich-Drew. Never gives him minutes even though he has performed when given time.

Snooch, the reason I think Sobey is over-rated this year is based on the reasons you state.
He was outstanding last year, and as such had a whole lot of expectation placed upon him by commentators / fans / etc.
I don't think he has even come close to delivering or displaying the "NBA level talent" that there was chat about. Hence, I think that this season; he is over-rated.

You can still be a good player and be overrated. Sobey should be classed more as disappointing because he hasn't reached the level of last season yet.

How is Sobey overrated? Two seasons ago he was averaging 4 points a game. Last season 15ppg and league most improved player

Lucas Walker has had a resurrection this season.
Ogilvy just seems to be temperamental than anything.
Cadee is just hot and cold. Has a great game, then goes missing for a few weeks. Probably needs some mentoring or something to get him playing hot week in week out.
for my money
most over-rated player - Goulding
most under-rated player - Vukona
worst player - Kevin White

Blanchfield's always been wildly overrated putting up numbers on bad Townsville teams. Good luck to him he's been riding that these last few years.

I wouldn't say Shea Ili is overperforming, he's just a young bloke maturing as a player and figuring out how to get it done

"THE Taipans will get three home games and 13 in total televised this season, according to the NBL's broadcast schedule released yesterday.
It is an increase from the 10 they were originally allocated last season and comes as broadcast partner ONE increased the total number of televised games from two a week to three.
The Melbourne Tigers, who boast NBA player Patty Mills, will be on air 22 times.
The numbers go against what Basketball Australia chairwoman Diane Smith-Gander told The Cairns Post during last season’s finals campaign. She indicated that the club would receive double the number of televised home games this season after the convention Centre crowd average jumped nearly 30 per cent.
She also confirmed the attractive prospect of televising more reptile rumbles, however, the round one clash in Cairns between Townsville and the Taipans will not be televised, a fact that has angered many fans."

Someone in the Taipans camp is not happy, ouch.
