Betting: NBL Round 10/WNBL Round 11
185!! At HT I felt it was going over only very late.
I'm never one to complain about points in the bank but 57 at QT did worry me. Sometimes it's best it stays in the 40's, just to keep the coach's from getting involved.

"What a steal"
I don't know whether you just meant to be respectfully playful or you are one of those 15yo "yeah, nah" blowhards, or whatever but some education may be required here.
In a betting forum no experienced punter opinioning "looks like a steal" will mean 'certain cash' but to the contrary will simply mean 'great odds'.
Of seven bets I posted on this thread all seven of them could in fact have been poor decisions derived from poor methodolgy, regardless of the results. W or L on a bet is only important if you need to buy something tomorrow but it is actually not the true indicator of a good or bad bet. Methology used long term is the more acurate indicator of that.

Yeah, not sure whether it's because punters just love their Perth unders and think 168pg is false for them or a coach has 'told' the press they'll make it a scrap ... ??

NBL Saturday:
Perth - Brisbane Over 165 @ 1.90
Perth #7 @168, 8-5. Brisbane #4 @174, 9-5, despite most against low opp wherby the numbers held up well. Perth results also stack up well, including 5-2 at home despite mostly low opp. Last season Perth were higher while Martin was missing and also from whence Cotton arrived. H2H 182 & 175. Now out to 165.5 and it looks an exellent deal IMO.
Melbourne United +1 @ 1.94
A bet on the notion United may have turned the corner into a patch of good form - more the way they won Monday rather than what they beat. Humid conditions forecast but not greatly enthused by Hawks thus far (obv will be in better shape than recent loss to United). United near their best will be tough to beat.

WNBL Saturday,
Townsville Fire -7.5 @ 1.90
Full week for Fire to prepare. A possibility Lavey could play but I suspect Rangers will find it tougher to hang around in Townsville than their recent Vic efforts, including the surprise win over Fire. Line is moving out to >9 which IMO is still great value should the Rangers not be strengthened.
Townsville - Dandenong Under 145 @ 1.90
#6 & #7 ranked teams with H2H's 157 & 137.Some good numbers overall point the under, including home & away, rest and recent trends. Current 143.5 makes it harder but am pleased to snare 145.

H'cap's against depleted opponents often worry me, as per tonight's example. Captains knock very well sums up Snell's season. There needs to be a riot if she does not make all star five.

Captain’s knock from Snell.. wasn’t at the game obviously but that three with 2:40 to go in the 4th was huge

Flames made hard work of that.. guess 25 TOs & Taylor fouling out in 48 seconds will do that..

Rangers can't buy any luck this season

Good luck! I had a slight lean to the over when 156.5 y'day. Bulletts just under the once. Cairns over just one of past eight.
Bendigo – Canberra Over 153.5 @ 1.90
Rankings; Spirit #3, 8-7, Caps #2, 11-5 (albeit both clubs couple of 153). H2H; 173 Rd1 & 163 in recent keenly fought match at SBC. The potent arc shooting Caps with confidence off win and like to be up tempo at every opportunity. Spirit virtually always Over when play higher ranked teams – only Under was when tried to strangle Perth. Spirit reportedly looking to more bench minutes, which didn’t hinder Total last week and a return to form from Banham would help too. I’d elected to leave the opening 156.5 but the plunge on Under hasn’t put me off from taking this number.

WNBL tonight:
Spirit v Capitals
Bendigo at home but something worrying about how they've lost recently plus Richards ill earlier in the week. Canberra, despite not that impressive over a depleted Rangers, look well placed for a road win. Spirit opened big at 3.25 but probably into fair price right now at 2.63 & +4. No bet!
Rangers v Flames
'Funnily' I've go no team news on Asia Taylor (apart from eye specialist to decide during week), nor updates on Palau's hamstring either. I'd think Lavey should be back from concussion. A game that may need to be considered only once teams are posted.
