Casey Prather injury implications

Prather dislocated his elbow against Illawarra at The Sandpit in one of those dreadful "look away" incidents. (And when teammates, fans and viewers have to look away, imagine what the player is going through!)

The star import and dual-NBL champion at Perth will miss a minimum of eight weeks. The word I'm hearing is Melbourne United is sniffing around Charlotte for his replacement.

Hopefully the commentators will have learnt now that "it's only a dislocation" isn't the right thing to say at the time of the injury.

It's inadvertent genius from United (if it is Felix). Sign the best player in the league so no rivals can touch him. He isn't a super fit but it's still good because he's so talented. But now that he's out, get a better fit to make the team better than it was before

Carrick Felix? Great signing. Prather is probably a better player, but this guy will make United a better team

Andrew White III looks okay from the G League. Not the penetrator of Prather, but if Casper can grow a pair and Goulding can put pressure on the rim, then this guy would be a great complement

It would do Melbourne's other guys some good to be forced to step up and carry the load in his absence - Ware & CG43 in particular.

I wouldn't be surprised if this helped, much like Goulding's surgery at the start of the season.

I won't complain if they sign a gun short term, but I'd be just as happy to see them run with the current group and give Moller a go. If Goulding steps up to what he's capable of United should stay in the 4 anyway
