Centrals reportedly keeping Ricardo Martin and importing a big (6'9) from US

Opal Mader to QBL actually. Katinyeri to follow her.
McKendrick to do both.
Are any imports here for men or women? Have any played reserves or anything?

:D

Mollie McKendrick (Southern) to switch to AFL
Opal Mader (North) to SEABL

Would want to have something to back that claim up.
I doubt they will be the highest paying club in 2018. Might not even be top 3.

Dangerous posting old tiger. Hope you have proof of such an accusation.

Southern have spent over 200k on senior teams in the past few years, yet are failing to pay other bills that are required by law to be paid!

James Legan signed with West Adelaide Bearcats https://twitter.com/JL_Swish5/status/952025917009866752
Played in QBL 2011-17; QBL scoring champion in 2016; QBL All-League Team in 2014

Oh
I thought Woodville were introducing imports to under 12s. Gotta stay ahead of the curve.

If Woodvilles import is here already will he finish out the current reserves season?

Woodvilles import is already here. Must be a point guard judging by his size in a photo next to an u12.
When are others expected?

North with Jo and Lauren will be hard to beat

Tahlia Fejo returning to West Adelaide for 2018 season following Lynx stint and time with Kalamunda in 2017

Mavs or Centrals in the men's would have least club juniors.

Agree, Southern??? Have more ring ins than the foreign legion!!!!

Definitely Forestville in the women. I would have to agree Sturt and Southern in the men.

Maybe true for Sturt men but that’s only because the previous coaching director poached them in u14 or u16s!
Once we get 2018 lineups we can do a comparison.

Question: what clubs (Men & Women) have the most homegrown products running around in PL?
Not a player who came in their final year of 18's, or the joke that is BSA Youth League. It would be interesting to rate the clubs? For the men I would say Sturt and women Norwood?
Thoughts

Sorry, conjecture about North, but with Starling already there, Atem and Burdon coming on board and maybe import, they must be spending a little bit.

Stanbridge isn't the highest paid Aussie.
For a league that often struggles to bring more than 50 people into a lot of games, spending is out of control across the league, and it's parents who pay the price.

Yep in the men's if you are washed up or have a bad attitude Mavs will welcome you.

I think you might be surprised how cheap some of these players come, even NBL level players.
Stanbridge will likely be the highest paid Aussie in the league. Starting on a full time wage the highest paid import.

Is anyone else getting worried about the money getting splashed around these days. Always been a bit under the table but Southern's spending the last few years looks like it has forced a few to catch up with them. North must be spending a bucket load with these new signings and Norwood paying 10 grand to someone that whilst good is hardly a star.
A few clubs were in financial trouble not too long ago, will history repeat itself. And how much will junior fees go up to pay for clubs trying to buy a title?

Mavs 2017 import would have to rate as the worst import ever! Social ball standard on a good night.
The problem with Mavs is that anyone who can't get a regular gig anywhere else end up playing for them!

In fairness Easterns import can’t get any worse than last years.
I hear Centrals are bringing their import back.
Heard Teys to North.

Majok Doyle & Teys to Forestville + imports
Favourites based on current lists must be them plus Norwood plus Southern

Eastern Men to suck it up big time.
Lost their best player to SEABL and next best to South in the off season. Team culture is terrible so don't expect any W's in 2018.

Didn't Ng retire?

Nathan Hawkes for the second half. Surely his suspension from last season precludes him from coaching the first half?
Stanbridge & Carlin gone. A lot will be left to Ng then.
Who is this Brandon Brine mentioned playing for Southern. Is he from SA or an import?
Anyone have any names or highlights of imports signed for each club?

Carlin gone from woodville, off to US I believe.
And who's coaching North?

Chelsea brook to Sturt adds height to them, any chance Eastern men will win a game? Are they getting any imports? Any word on Woodville men? Is Majok staying with Fville?

Ricky Simpson in as coach for Centrals Men

Luke Stanbridge to Norwood on a tidy sum. Probably more transfers with large price tags on the way based on what I've heard.

I have only seen 1 import sign on Tigers FB but also Brandon Brine back.
What are Norwood doing? Anything new for them?

Davis staying with South, Atem Atem at North also, is Miller going to be back? Southern seem to have a few new with Johns back and 2 imports already signed, would be interested in Oldham going back to West? Massive part of their championship team.
Talk of Mansfield playing at North, will Wilson be back to Eastern? Word was that Sturt was getting one of the lightning girls.

I have heard North men retained Alex Starling. Possibly getting Erik Burdon back from Mt G. They should start favourites as they were this time last year.

I find it funny that people were trashing the rebranding of Tigers to United because it sounded too much like soccer, yet there's a league called the Premier League.

Hilarious, up there with the December 31st "See you next year!!!" Champagne comedy

Manchester City has it locked up I'd say

Here is Round 3
Hawks vs Blaze - 3,693 @ WECin Wollongong
36ers vs Kings - 4,495 @ AA in Adelaide
Tigers vs Breakers - 3,500 @ SNC in Melbourne
Crocs vs Wildcats - 3,594 @ TEC in Townsville
Kings vs Hawks - 3,556 @ SEC in Sydney
Very surprised at the crowd at the SEC last night. Considering the Kings thumped Adelaide and the Hawks got hosed by the Blaze on Friday I would have thought more would show, especially considering its really the closest thing to a local derby the NBL has.
Good to see a decent crowd at the Hawks - Blaze game and another Melbourne sellout with Patty Mills playing, though they would have anyway playing NZ IMO. Makes me wonder what sort of crowds Melbourne would be getting in a venue like Hisense Arena.
