I think that was the point of the Buford signing. At the time Bairstow got ruled out for most of of this season they said they were going to sign an import 4/5 to replace him and then signed Buford.

They might not have been able to afford a bigger guy and perhaps gushed over the fact he just went from Italy's Div 2 league to getting onto the Celtics summer league team.

I don't know how involved Lemanis has been in building the roster, but 90% of their problem is the unbalanced roster rather than his coaching IMO. Holt was a redundant pick up given they knew Bairstow wasn't going to be suiting up. Give these guys an import 4/5 man and a slight upgrade on the bench and this is a team right in the hunt.

Interesting conversation about Lemans and Boomers coach should be full time. After the results of Brisbane since their return, does he even warrant the boomers job?

Makes me wonder how much Vickerman and Henare had to do with the breakers success.

Brisbane fading late in games has been about the most reliable thing in the league this season.

This was actually an interesting game to watch. Brisbane had their opportunities and didn't take advantage of them and Adelaide were sloppy at times.

Brisbane looked like they just gave up about half way through OT.

Randle posted up a photo of him wearing a Nathan Sobey "branded" tee today.

Also Randle seems to watch and comment on every Adelaide game. Always talking up Adelaide players on the twitters. You'd think Sydney would tell him to focus on their team a bit, though publicly it seems like they're loving him.

Pretty sure Randle is close with Sobey & only Sobey from last years 36ers.

Read into it what you will but Sobey seems to "like" every instagram post randle does.

I'm sure I read a tweet from Randle when he was playing in Turkey earlier this season saying he still considers Sobey his brother and misses hanging out with him. Maybe it was sarcastic or I just messed it up completely.

I'd be surprised to see him back in Adelaide too but I doubt he decides to stick around that Kings basketcase organisation.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Randle & Sobey playing together again next season either in Sydney or back in Adelaide.
