Grown Man Moves

Wesley has to play as an import next year?
That’s no problem. Listen to me, he’s the most grown man in the league. He has ten kids to feed. He’s playing for a contract next year.
Ain’t no one in the league more grown than Tai Wesley!

Russian hackers are here!

If ware fouled then he got fouled. Seriously how hard is it to call the same thing the same way?

cool. thanks

"i think i heard on the coverage the other night that this season Wesley is considered a local for Melb but if he leaves via FA then he would be considred an import?"
Guam (and their players) is no longer considered exempted.
But the NBL allowed Wesley to remain exempted from being an import due to being in the last year of an existing contract.
Next year Wesley can only play as an import.

what are the rules regarding imports?

LOL
No wonder why this league's score benches are the laughing stock of the world's basketball league score benches
HAHAHAHA

Is there an error with the online box score?
Wesley is showing as playing 7 seconds and 4 fouls.

"If the margin ain't under 15 by halfway through the third, cue in the rack time. Bigger and better things to do than attempt an energy-sapping comeback win in NZ six weeks before playoffs."
Can you please highlight some 'bigger and better things' than to hold onto top spot hence home court in the playoff?

LOL
Ware said his goal is to get back to the NBA LOLOL
if he was WANTED in the NBA he would be a good player and WOULD NOT be playing in the bottom feeding NBL

HAHAHAHAHAHA
In almost 20 minutes of play, United ONLY have 3 defensive rebounds?
LOL
No wonder why this league is the laughing stock of the world

Isaac, not your fault but predictably the NBLs - but coming into this game the Breakers are in 4th (as the Sixers’ 13-8 record is better percentage wise than the Breakers’ 12-7). But, Math, who can be bothered. Not the NBL it seems.

Huge game for Breakers. Newbill struggling to recover early season form. Sosa has stepped up to cover but Abercrombie and Penney have not provided backup. Christmas looks OK but he runs into a taller and just as athletic, Josh Boone.
At home Breakers HAVE TO win.
Melbourne have the edge offensively. Abercrombie, Penny and Newbill have to get going.

"I'm interested to see if some of those alarm bell flashes from Christmas in his debut were just fatigue, or if it signals an issue with effort/attitude."
It could be effort / attitude.
He is engaged to Jasmine Jordan (daughter of the GOAT).
So after he becomes Rakeem Jordan, money will never be an issue.

Not sure why Melbourne are on the drift. Andersen is back and no scratchings from last week it seems

Josh Boone has been around long enough to know the league and the crappy refs. Christmas has to get his head around the inconsistent, bewildering calls still. Be interesting to see if he manages it like Boone does or Tyler did....

If NZ win maybe it'll change my mind about them being too old and slow. Interested to see this game...

We havnt had much success in NZ but I think the Perth win will instill a new found confidence.
If you can get a win in Perth you can win anywhere.
United by 5.

I must admit this is a particularly interesting game.
Breakers had their new import and they lost the game against the Hawks. However, after an extra week's training, I guess we'll see if the hype around him is all that it is cracked up to be.
Melbourne did look good against the Cats and it was a pretty good effort by the entire team. What I have noticed about Melbourne this year is that when someone is down, someone else seems to stand up. Certainly Moller off the bench gave a few 1%ers that helped in the win.
The Breakers have had a little form slump of late and I hate to say it but my old mate Mika looks like he is ready to go into the top paddock (with Petrie). There is something about the Breakers this season of late that just doesn't feel right and they don't look like the Breakers of old.
They will be tested tonight and really need a Christmas party to have any hope of sending the United boys home. I just think this might be one that slips away from the Breakers. I reckon the United boys will be out of the blocks quickly and pound the ring from outside the arc to open up a 10 - 15 point lead and keep it away from the key. Breakers will come back, but CG43 is due and I'm tipping he will be the Grinch in this game and slide a few home in the 4th.
