Wall out of ASG, replaced by Drummond
Is it possible that Blake Griffin could be selected now he's in the east?

Sure Lou Williams is awful defensively but in all reality, there is next to no defence being played across the entire NBA anymore, at least during the regular season.

Wow I'm surprised Drummond wasn't already selected as a reserve. He is killing it this year!

Lou Williams is the worst defensive guard in the NBA.
Not that any defence is played in the allstar game, but if you want to be taken seriously as a player you have to have some sort of defensive game.

Correction: "It's like the NBA is scared to mix up AS's from year to year; instead they rather select players based merely on 'reputation'"

Lou should easily be in there over Klay (and outside of his conference over Lowry).
He is averaging 23.5ppg, 5.2apg on 45%FG, 39%3pfg and 89%FT. (January alone he is averaging 28.8ppg and 6.4apg).
His PER is fantastic; and there are only two players with higher PER's that aren't in current playoff teams.
One of the bugbear's with the all star game selections is that players historically earn their selection solely on their name - if you're an AS once, you generally get multiple selections even if you're stats don't warrant it.
It's like the NBA is scared to mix up AS's from year to year; rather than selecting players based merely on 'reputation'. It's a yearly event based on players performances for that year or part-season. Apply it like that.
