A couple of things about the fight. The league should not fine or suspend anyone because everyone not just basketball people are talking about it and will tune in to the game tomorrow so the exposure for the nbl is huge.

Secondly teys is one of the worst players in the league so it's only natural to try and contribute to the team in other ways.

No one worth listening to is saying walkers play was acceptable. No one worth listening too is saying teys play was acceptable.

Tokyo Jo plays aggressive knees up at the basket to hurt and doesn't mind wanting to run the floor to get involved in the stupidity at the end.

Larkins charged into Walker shoulder first in an attempt to "block out" even though Walker was not in a rebounding position. Walker sidestepped to avoid the contact and helped Larkins along as they met, with Larkins momentum sending him past Walker and down. If Walker had thrown Larkins down it would have been a more serious incident. Larkins initiated the contact which was unnecessary. Walker had avoided any hard contact and should have just let Larkins fall by himself.

A number of reports have been made following last night's game between the Perth Wildcats and Adelaide 36ers at Perth Arena.

Adelaide's Brendan Teys and Perth's Dexter Kernich-Drew were both reported for unduly rough play arising from an incident in the fourth quarter.

Adelaide's Shannon Shorter and Perth's Lucas Walker were reported for leaving their benches during the same incident in the fourth quarter.

Majok Deng, Nelson Larkins, Anthony Drmic, Mitch Creek and Shannon Shorter (Adelaide) and Dexter Kernich-Drew, Clint Steindl and Jarrod Kenny (Perth) were all reported for engaging in a melee.

The reports will be now reviewed by the NBL Game Review Panel and any charges will be announced by 6pm Sunday

Peter john its not that complex, no one touched sobey om that layup and deng got all ball twice. Did brandt do anything to warrant an unsportsmanlike other than hold walker back from another stupid act?

Tokoto could have raced onto the court, smacked Teys in his stupid jaw and been suspended for 10 games.

Cooke Jr could have poleaxed that Larkins kid and then thrown Joey to the floor.

Remember Brandt's courageous actions when the Cats go on another title run. It would not have been possible if we have all our stars suspended

Adelaide are great winners and bad losers .They love to dish it out when they are winning but act like little cry babies when things dont go there way ..

Sniper Teys setting a great example for his team. Perhaps frustrated by his zero point, 1 rebound, 2 turnover, 3 foul return from just under 8 minutes on the court. What he did was not actually a whole lot different to what Childress did a few years ago, although he didn't go for the throat.

Such is the courage of Teys that there is no way he would have done that had it been any of the established Wildcats players with the ball.

Why is it that the emotion between Perth and Adelaide generally spills over when Adelaide are losing?

No, they do it because it's part of the culture. NBL coaches have been abusing and complaining at and about refs since 1979. The fans have been abusing and declaiming the standard of refereeing just as long.

I continue to think that it comes back to the overly complex nature of the game's rules and the variable interpretations placed on similar plays according to contextual factors. The debates on this forum, with rulebooks at 20 paces, have just re-inforced my views on this, over the years.

Apparently charges have been laid. Penalties will be known later this afternoon, including any possible suspensions.

Word I've got is the NBL will allow any players who are suspended (not sure if there are but sounds like it) will still be allowed to play in Sunday's game.

I dont think there are any heroes when there is a brawl with less than a second left.

Brandt did well to stop the bench boys running on and knocking out Adelaide players who were behaving like animals. Brandt is the forgotten hero in all of this.

As for the game result: Perth played a great game. Adelaide we're a bit lazy after the break when they should have been standing on Perths throat (no joke meant considering the fight).

As for the refs: how do they 1: completely miss what is right in front of them or 2: completely misinterpret what is right in front of them?

I'm not calling bias either. Just more substandard reffing in a league that deserves better.

Yeah, I’ve watched it back a few times, Teys actually lines him up raises a knee and doesn’t get close to raising his hands to make it look like a basketball play., was pretty poor for an experienced player and captain on a first gamer. Not condoning DKDs actions put the league has to look at what caused the retaliation.

It was such a poor impersonation that the officials didn't pick it up. Probably assumed he was a floor wiper. Which he kind of was once Walker was done with him.

While I agree that DKD should miss a game, I would feel far more comfortable with my behavior if I was him than I would if I was Teys.

Jumping into a first gamer like that with 1 second to go and your team down 20 would have to be one of the most gutless things I have seen in the NBL. Teys is supposedly setting the standard for his team as captain. Hopefully he looks at it and sees it for the coward act it was.

I switched off just past half way through Q4 I was so disgusted with the Sixers, looks like I should have watched all of it.

Not going to bother reading all the reactions BUT as much as the Wildcats are full of very hate worthy individuals and the overall commentary is a pornhub convention for the Cats, Adelaide have to 100% figure what the fuck that 5min burst to start the 3rd was all about. Dont let the drama the pushing and shoving get in the way of a very fragile looking team that came out in the 3rd with little to no tactical variation.

Adelaide SHOULD win it all, but not if you allow a pretty ordinary Perth team to do that. Wagstaff going for 25 is disgusting.

Well the Sixers have certainly played the Wildcats back into form.

The last two games is exactly why Sixers have a lot of work to do if they want to be viewed as a serious challenger. They can't lock down teams when momentum swings against them.
