Tragardh was a clear winner of the Player of the Month honour, tallying 45 votes to finish well ahead of Adam Gibson of the Gold Coast Blaze in second place on 21. Jamar Wilson of Cairns and Daniel Johnson of Adelaide tied for third place with 17 votes apiece.

The man known as ‘Trigger’ helped the Tigers win three of their five games for the month, including recording victories over Townsville, Cairns and Gold Coast. In Round 13 he was named Player of the Week after scoring 25 points and adding six rebounds and one block as the Tigers roared back from a slow first half to defeat the Blaze at ‘The Furnace’ on New Year’s Eve, 79-72.

Andrej Lemanis has now picked up his second Monthly award of the 2011/12 iiNet NBL Championship season. Lemanis also won the Coach of the Month honour in October.

In December the Breakers’ mentor steered the reigning champions to a league-best 4-2 record which included wins over Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Cairns.
