NBL Next Stars Program (the 4th 'import')
I heard the NBLPA won't allow this to happen.

If it takes off, they should run it like a draft. Have a spread out pool of different positions.
First pick goes to Melbourne United.
Second pick goes to 8th place.
Third pick goes to 7th place.

.
These players could be tradable for other 4th imports if two teams can find a better fit.
Yes I was being facetious with the United first pick.

Illawarra and Cairns should be allocated the best two kids.I can see at the moment there's four strong sides in Kings,Melb,Adel and Perth and the rest average. It wouldn't be good knowing the semi final sides already.

Not sure if they've gone quiet on it because there are other things to discuss, or because they've realised it's premature. Makes more sense in an expansion year or instead of the third import. Or as a free hit for struggling teams.

While he is still awaiting his clearance which probably won't happen until march, and all indications are that he won't be returning to Portland at all, is their an NBA team that has room or the need for him or will he likely end up playing in Europe? My bets are that unfortauntely he'll be back in Europe next season, i just don't see a team that has a need for PG in his situation who looks for his own shot first.
