I've heard from a couple of unrelated persons that Brine is getting around $1000 per game. I agree compared to Stanbridge that is money better spent!

Stanbridge on $10k has to be the highest paid role player in the league.

Will be good to see the Johns Teys matchup this week. Johns will have a lot to prove you'd think, he is huge to them going one step further this year. As for POTW shouldn't Wise be winning it for the 7th consecutive time?

People on here have no idea on visas and costs. Southern and Forestville and Norwood are the big spenders. I hear a few clubs missed out on players as they couldn't come close to matching offers and that includes North.

Al will talk his way into another contract. Norwood have no loyalty and will swing axe in a second if a better candidate becomes available. Whitmore will be in hot seat if in bottom two. Hawkes has built a culture that was terrible before he got there so should get another year if he falls short, if Southern don't win it all then butterball should be replaced, with that money they should be undefeated but if chokes and gets outcoached in finals then questions need to be asked.
Rest would be safe with either rebuilding or established coaches, although would be a breathe of fresh air for forestville to try someone else.

Tigers just as likely to be 7-2 and back to the pack as they are to be 9-0. Some big challenges ahead for them.

Two games to go to complete first round. With the exception of North who have Central and Woodville the other top four have some tough match ups. Let's see how things shape up after everyone plays each other once. Potentially tigers undefeated, three teams tied on two losses and Forestville losing remaining two games

How many of those Aussie Tigers guys played in the GF last year? Dodman who was a starter and is now a backup to a decent import centre?

I'm not usually a huge premier league follower, but with the talent level increasing over the last few years with more imports and their quality rising as well, some good basketball being played.

Right anon.... Tigers really struggle there with Johns, Brine, Ellison and Dodman....

Tigers favourites and clear pack leaders until they drop a couple of games or the big 4 for Tigers start to unravel or injuries hit...

Tigers import combo have led their team to a 7-0 start... (oh yeah, with a few "lucky" wins including smashing north by 34pts - oops, which star player were they missing again!?). They also have the best defense in the league with an average winning margin of 30 points!

Here are the stats, rounded up... (did you even check these prior to your question as to whether anyone even comes close!?)

Starling - 24pts, 14rbs, 2ast, 2stl, 2blk, 53%fg
Reed - 12pts, 4rbs, 3ast, 1stl, 39%fg
Total - 36pts, 18rbs, 5asts, 3stl, 2blk

Tigers import combo clearly the best via wins and stats, with a far superior fg%. North do take the points though in extra cheeseburgers downed courtesy of Reed! ;)

I just pick the best couple stat lines from each game. Usually a bit more liberal with winning teams numbers.

Gotta tighten this up some, 15 points 9 rebounds to be in discussion? Need to be 25p+ 15r+ 10a+ at minimum standard.
