Known NBL salaries

Agreed. There are also issues with the size of the league and the relatively few who would be on anything approaching big dollars.
It’s still a small pond, without many examples to talk about.
Would any posters here like forum topics discussing their salary whilst their employment contract only had a few months remaining to run?

Employment details would be covered by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as the employers (teams) are private entities. As such, they would only be allowed to be used for purposes associated with their original collection. Presumably this is managing the requirements of employment. Part of that would be whatever reporting and other requirements the NBL place on clubs. I think there's a strong argument that the publication of salaries would be one of those NBL requirements. I would have thought a player signing up any time after the NBL publicly announced publication of salaries should view such publication as reasonable use of that information under APP 6.2.
There are lots of precedents for publishing salaries. e.g., reporting of executive salaries in annual reports for public sector organisations, annual reports/AGM minutes for public companies publish executive remuneration package details etc.
It's more likely that the players' association has argued that publishing players' salaries would disadvantage (some of) them in the marketplace, when negotiating contracts with clubs. The clubs also may prefer not to publish because it shows potential recruits what they're willing to pay (other players). It also shows other clubs what they're paying players those other clubs may be interested in poaching. To me those are stronger arguments for salaries not having been published than the privacy one.

"enfirved" - WTF? Use real words please.
Sorry meant enforced

How is it against privacy laws to publish wages they do it in so many leagues around the world IPL EPL NBA etc.I'm given to understand that Australia has its own laws, and doesn't follow the laws of other countries.
When the point system was scrapped and a NBA salary cap was enfirved it was initially stated by the NBL that these salaries would be public knowledge however this never eventuated, you guys remember? When they explained that in more detail they said they'd list all 11 salaries for each team, but wouldn't link any of the salaries to any particular player.

How do we know what is printed in a story is accurate.
Are we going to start another pissing game where the water boy is reported to be on 300k a season?

How is it against privacy laws to publish wages they do it in so many leagues around the world IPL EPL NBA etc. is that an Aus thing? Don’t we know salaries of footy players? When the point system was scrapped and a NBA salary cap was enfirved it was initially stated by the NBL that these salaries would be public knowledge however this never eventuated, you guys remember?

Wagstaff isn't on $200K.
Cadee isn't worth $120K but the Bullets are dumb so probably paid him that plus the ever increasing trend of the NBL cap going up.

They can't publish salaries due to privacy laws, I believe. And there's no cap to cheat anyway.
You obviously have no idea whether your examples are accurate or not (and I'd be very skeptical of that Wagstaff number).
