Early predictions with current lineups
Ok. Devondrick Walker will play for the Wildcats if he doesn't make NBA.

On present signings you would say Sydney and Perth would be starting favourites. NZ looking ok as well.

Melbourne are well coached but are trying to spend less, so it will all depend on their imports. Wesley is a big out though on seabl form Moller could step up to the four, or Melbourne should get import point, five and four man. Ware and Boone would be a great start but don’t see it happening at present.

My early prediction is this:
Top 4:
Perth, Sydney, United, Adelaide.
In no particular order, although I'd put
The rest:
NZ have an unproven coach. With good imports they could content for the title- given their local contingent is strong with the addition of Webster.
One of the rules of the NBL is never underestimate Bevo. So Hawks should be competitive and regularly surprise the bigger budget clubs, but I don't see them as contenders.
Brisbane's fate will depend on the strength of their import 3, and Bairstow.
Cairns looks the early favourite for wooden spooners to me. Have lost 2 of their best Aussies, and have a low budget so unlikely to sign an absolute superstar import to make up for it.

Waiting to see teams finalised, especially imports, and particularly United. I don't see the defending champions sitting on their asses.
For that reason:
1. Melbourne
2. Perth
3. Adelaide
4. Sydney
5. Hawks
6. NZ
7. Brisbane
8. Cairns

If Illawarra add Cooks and Clarke to that lineup they will make top four as will Perth and Sydney with the last spot in the four a dog fight between Adelaide and New Zealand and Melbourne.

Creek’s release today highlights how stupid threads such as this is in JUNE!!!

Couldn't wait for this! I wanted to put out something that had never been mentioned before on this forum.
Sydney then Daylight!!!!
