NH about time we had U turns at traffic lights in SA
5 poster bullbar obviously

AD
You can still drive into Adelaide’s southern suburbs from the east coast without seeing a single traffic light (just avoid Wagga Wagga). Use the Wellington ferry and go through Strath and Clarendon. If on a bike tour, stop at Clarendon bakery for a choc donut.

Very Old
Qld plates worke even better in NSW.
Especially on an old Ute with a 4 poster bullbar.
Just drive down the freeway in the right hand lane and watch everyone get out of your way.
Driving on the M1 from the GC to Brisbane is the car park. Queenslanders CANNOT merge. Every single exit and entry ramp reduces the traffic speed by about 60 percent. The M1 traffic does not move at motorway speeds. The M1 traffic moves at a speed at which a spirited man completes a reverse parallel park. This is the core reason behind the failure of all national sporting teams on the GC.

Used to be able to turn left (after stopping) at red lights in the NT. I always thought that was a good common sense rule.
Now it's only at specifically signposted intersections apparently. Still better than nothing.

There have beeen so many study’s showcasing that roundabouts are soo much safer than stop lights and more efficient at moving traffic (less frequency of stopping)
The main issue with ADL is that most road have been built for minimal use but the states population has risen beyond what the capacity of the roads
Upgrades need to be done to all adl

Canada allows the 'right on red' unless there's a sign saying otherwise. Seems to work OK, when everyone is ready for it.

Saw this in NZ yesterday. Car did a u-turn turning right..drivers from other side had a left hand green arrow. Boom.Came within inches of having that happen to me, too.
We have U turns at specifically-signed sets of lights here. That wasn't one of them. And that's why.

Perth drivers are worse.
Re: US road rules. Which state as they have 50 of them? It depends on which state, the ones with "yield" instead of "give way" is horrible where basically you have to yield to people from side streets when you are on the main road (e.g. Nevada). Horrible!

I love driving in NSW/ACT with my SA plates, everybody , and I mean everybody, over the age of 30 gives way to you in every situation, never tailgates, and gives you plenty of space in parking spaces, because they know SA drivers are just plain dangerous and totally unpredictable.

Never felt like I needed to U-turn at lights. But an AU equivalent of the US's right-on-red would be great.

If there's one rule I'd love to see in NZ/Aus it's the USA rule that allows you to turn right at any lights (even if its a red light as long as it's clear). Obviously this would be a left turn for us.

Stupid idea. Turn right at the lights, next right and then right again left on where you need to go.
Traffic light U turns interfere with multiple lanes at once, therefore slowing down traffic able to get through a set of lights

So SA bball has its summer season for div3 and below for grading, there are no finals. You play phases where you move up and down groups depending on whether you win or loose to be graded in the appropriate division for winter.
So how come after the summer league finishes you are aksed to nominate what division you want to be in?
So how come when you are in the top group and beating teams you end up in a lower division?
Rubbish system!!!!
