Boone & Ware return to Melbourne United
I noticed watching the live streams that Trust can score & busts his guts, but footspeed especially laterally looked sloooow.

Trist is slow, can score but didn’t make Frankston any better in the win coloumn. Big body though.

Yeah shit, Trist looks very skilled indeed. Can he rebound though?

It won't happen, but I'd love to see UTD start with-
Ware CG43 McCarron Moller & Boone
Back their all star trio + the youth & energy of McCarron & Moller.
Then you have veterans Barlow & Pledger as your 6th & 7th, Hooley backing up Ware, then Trist & TSM.
Don't sign a 3rd import & blood young Mini-Mac in the line up. Wouldn't that be exciting?!?!
And they'd still be favourites IMO.

I think people are underestimating the loss of Wesley

Fantastic.
Continuity is great. Having 2 imports for 3 seasons in a row is a rarity in the NBL.
Combine that with Goulding, Moller, McCarron, Trist all having 2 or 3 years left. United has the right idea aiming for continuity in their Aussies and imports.
Will be interested seeing which direction United goes with the last import spot. Wesley's combination of post scoring, and high IQ passing has yet to be replaced. Boone finishes with rolls to the hoop, baseline cuts, 2nd chances, fast breaks. But posting up isnt his game.
Trist does like the post but it remains to be seen how good he is.

And Sam McDaniel DP

Good squad
Ware, Hooley, McCarron
Goulding, McCarron
McCarron, Moller
Barlow, Moller, Trist
Boone, Pledger , Trist
Smith-Milner
Plus still room for extra import.

back to back!!
Yay super excited

hi all,
watching the ncaa finals - looks like a lot of players can lead out and catch on a single pivot foot then square up and lift that pivot as they dribble off the non catch foot.
i have never seen the american ncaa rules- do they play to FIBA ? as when I see it - looks like it would get called as travel here.
also lots of other foot shuffling getting set for outside shots at times appeared allowed - yet at other times the refs call a clear travel on certain other moves - particularly post players stepping around.
are we too quick to call travel here in aust ?
does ncaa have slightly different ruling ?
who fares best with international refs under FIBA rules ?
