What Joey does is identify NBL talent well from the players who don't go to college and stay home in Australia. So from the start you are capped as in theory the best go to college. So with this context players like Creek, Sobey and Goulding have done exceptionally well given their opportunity and I think it's amazing now we have a thread for these players expecting even more. This is what I give Wright a lot of credit for.
I don't WANT it, Anon - I'm just asking what others think. Do players plateau under Joey? If they do, what are their options?
Conversely, do people think Joey could make Gpulding or McCarron or ... better players who are suitable for being in the Boomers long-term, instead of consistently being fringe or potential Boomers?
Locally, Sobey will be best off staying put and getting minutes/opportunities with Adelaide. If he has a strong season, he could tackle Goulding for that Boomers spot. Or maybe Exum.
