when is a boomer worth 10 points??
I'm wondering how you came across this confidential market information deak?
I asked Marc Howard, the NBL Media Manager a couple of weeks ago if I could get my hands on a copy of the player rankings, and was told quite certainly that whilst he could give me a list of players available for ranking, he couldnt provide me with actual rankings (I am running an excercise on OzHoops at the moment re player rankings).
However, I would agree with Ronaldson being a 9, I personally would rate him an 8, whilst I don't care for the guy, and don't like his playing style, he still has to have one of the oppositions best defenders on him, in case he lights it up for one of his 30+ games.
As for your example, if Ben Castle was remaining with his current team, he would retain the ranking he had at the time of his contract being signed, unless him and the club apply to use his new ranking for the purpose of re negotiating his contract.
I'll send the document that was sent to media to Isaac so he can put it up on the site so everyone can have a read.

This seems to be a common perception, which I was even guilty of till the NBL released some information this off season.
In the points system guide that was released to the media, there is no mention that a Boomer is automatically a 10 point selection.
Most coaches would probably rate most Boomers as a 10 anyway.
