Food at NBL games
Subway usually not far away.

I'd go to the basketball more often if you could buy a decent cheese board and paddle of paired wines to go with it.

bullshit. I want a mountain of fats and carbs, deep fried to a crisp golden brown colour, and as much cheap Lager as I'm allowed to buy in one hit to wash it down with.
Who on earth watches sports with a salad in their hands?

Nah bugger that. Should be nothing but meat pies, vegemite sandwiches, tim tams and witchetty grubs on the menu.

Not really sure what OP is getting at here. The food at most NBL arenas I've visited is pretty American already.
The food is uniformly bad from what I've seen and just encourages me to eat/drink elsewhere.
The food/beers setup at Qudos Bank arena is abysmal and so.......so........slow.

Cheaper beer too!!!

"Yet the thing I love seeing more than anything is free water fountains so we can avoid buying those plastic bottles all the time,"
I know (and laugh at) so many parents who won't let their precious byproducts drink out of those things. Germs you know! Let alone the numbers of precious byproducts who turn pale and tremble at the thought of ***GASP*** tapwater!

Not sure of the menu at NBL games, however variety is always a problem at major sporting events, so is fidning anything healthy for a reasonable price.
Yet the thing I love seeing more than anything is free water fountains so we can avoid buying those plastic bottles all the time, makes me happy every time I see people getting free drinkable water if they need it!!

The food is terrible (quality, healthiness, and value) and quickly adds up to the equivalent cost of a game ticket. I'd rather, and do, eat something healthier prior to the game.
Always found it interesting to see Hungry Jack's, Bulla Ice Cream, Carl's Jr, Sandwich Chef's, and any other garbage you can think of, splashed all over the floor, jerseys, walls, big screens, and given out for free at any chance, then backed up with some random Wagner Vitamin and Chemist Warehouse promotion to cure all ills; zero promotion of health and positive lifestyle choices, especially for the kids.

If there is one thing that needs to be done its more emphasis on the game day experience. Food could be a big part of this. The casual fan wants an experience bigger than the game itself.

you'll have to prise my ten-dollar fried chicken and wedges tray out of my cold, dead hands pal.

I mean't at people, throw away or at people is the same shit.

Mrs Randle isn't happy with the hot chips at games, maybe that's why she throws them away.
