Bullets sign import Lamar Patterson
Averaged 13p, 5r and 3a in the Italian Serie A last season and 16p, 5r and 3a in the Eurocup, both comps at a similar standard to the NBL. Converted pretty well for a swingman, 46-47%, but a low-mid 30s three-point shooter over his career so not a bomber by any means.
The year before last he averaged 24p, 6r and 4a in the G-League, which isn't shabby.

The name sounds very familiar. Was he one of the guys rumoured as United's 3rd import before they settled on Kennedy?

The standard of the Chinese NBL is very ordinary. Ex-Hawks big man import Michael Holyfield averaged 25 ppg & 25 rpg a couple of seasons ago and ex-Taipans import Tony Mitchell had a 76 point game and averaged 43 ppg before coming here.

A celebrated scorer by the end of his college career, Patterson is putting up the kind of offensive numbers that make one believe there’s a typo before quickly realizing that, no, they are very much real. In 16 games this season with Lhasa Jingtu, Patterson is leading the NBL in scoring at 43.9 points per game, averaging almost as many points per game by himself as his Pitt team scored in his final college game, a 61-45 loss to Florida in the third round of the 2014 NCAA tournament. He had a 71 point game there. Lowest game was 24.
But remember their NBL is a lower tier than the CBA. 10 players are averaging 30+ in that comp. One guy averaged 60.

yeah, but can he score???? Was that a typo, average of 45 points per game?

He quite frankly has put some pretty ordinary support players around the Heat (old guys well past their best). He has 3 of the fastest guys at their position and he can't find some people in the D league and overseas that can hit an open shot and still run the court? Does Pat Riley need to start shouldering some of the blame?
