Why would they do that? They're hoping his contract becomes fully guaranteed for the rest of the season if the old 10 game rule still applies this will be Game #9 for the Sixers meaning he would need to be cut next week because once he plays in Game #10 his contract becomes guaranteed.
If they did indeed leak this, it's another dick move from the 36ers... For a third level import it's a bit rich... Especially when Ramone hasn't been playing (is there any word on his return date?).
Not that I don't mind seeing them implode, if they've got a new import lined up, they should just pull the trigger and do it right...
Unusual to come out in the media and say an import is on notice before they actually have done anything. Replacement hopefully better suited to the team.
