Youd probably think they call up Pinson or Williams first.

Anyone thinking he will come back to the NBL to play for a team other than the Sixers....I think the Sixers own his rights in the NBL for this year.

Given the pre-season incident, I'd say it's not going to happen.

Of course any team would take Mitch, doesn't mean he'd fit in successfully. If he went to the Cats with the current lineup, it would look like:

PG: Martin/Norton
SG: Cotton/Steindl
SF: White/Creek/Hire
PF: Kay/Wagstaff/Vague
C: Brandt/Jervis

You'd have to dump White to make Creek worthwhile, then where would the other import/s go? Can't take court time away from Kay or Brandt for that matter. Creeks a stud, but an import makes more sense. Can't win with only 2 imports according to Homicide, 1 import would bury the Cats. :P

He's not playing over there because there's no opportunity for him here, he's taking the financial hit and rolling the dice this year to see if he can make the bigger stage. Any team here would take him.

If his gamble works, great. If no, then at least he won't retire wondering what might've been if he'd really given it a strong shot.

Tough to see where Mitch would fit if he came back to the NBL, obviously won't be back at the 36ers. Would lover to have him at the Cats, but I just don't think we have a spot for him, that SF spot is usually reserved for an import, maybe Sydney as they've got a few older guys who probably need replacing soon. Can't see him going to a small market team either, guess he could come back as the face of SE Melbourne.
