4 game skid with last 2 being at home. The win against Cairns felt a long time ago.

At the moment, the problem with repetitive matchups is caused by the ridiculous fixturing, not by the fact that there are 8 teams playing each other 4 times.

The regular season runs over more than 4 months, why are teams regularly playing each other 3 times in 4 weeks?

I reckon he will get the sack at Christmas time. He will also get the hat and the fake beard and will hand out toys and chiko rolls to all the kids.

Being a part of this year's Brendan Teys appreciation society I think he is a shoe in to win the defensive player of the year. He drew 3 charges today. The guy is on fire. Step aside Damien Martin, Teys is in da house.

Agreed Joshua - that was the win they needed to stop the rot and restore confidence. Conger was a little rusty scoring wise but the extra length he brings is already helping our defence. I think Joey now has a team that he can develop into a contender. He’s proven in previous years he can turn around a bad start and I’m confident he will again.

I'm just happy they got the W. Don't really care who and how we won just get this thing moving in the right way again. Now try and build a little.

Hawks have gone for a throwback line-up when everyone else is looking to spread the floor. I suspect its part budget, part strategy to be different. In terms of aj it is no surprise he has looked since the floor spacing has vanished, lish, penny, forman, conread etc meant there was always space inside. Now he shares the post with elbows and the opposition defence because ced and jett may as well be shooting at a tea cup from 3. See last year and perth with tokoto in the back end of the season to see how bad a problem just one non shooter is

I see no reason why we cant make the playoffs. Conger was sloppy today but he's a big upgrade for us.

Drmic hitting shots from the outside is a huuuuuge key for us. Otherwise teams can just play a zone against us and we're a bit stuffed. Need some guys keeping the opposition honest on the perimeter in order to allow the likes of Wiley, Conger and Sobey to slash to the basket.

We're def not on the level of Melb and prob Syd but I'm not too worried about any other side.

Yeah 8 teams playing each other 4 times is 28 games. I'd much rather have 10 teams playing each other 3 times for 27 games. But sadly the NBL wants to kill off the Hawks and Taipans which is a shame and a mistake IMO.

Lets just speak the honest truth. The Hawks looking terrible with
NO leadership from the imports. Jackson the once MVP can't keep up
with other import guards in the NBL and his lack of adjusting of
holding the Hawks together shows he's good, when he is playing
with talent like when he was at the breakers.

I feel sorry for Bevo because he's been working with a shoestring
budget not able to go get legit imports who would bring the Hawks
from the brinks and be in the top 4. He's having to deal with
players like AJ, who once was a potential high nba draft pick
and now to a player who plays with zero emotions and zero heart!

The only positive is..there are a couple talented young players on
the team that bring energy every game. But i wont be surprised if
they go to another team next season if the opportunity presents it
self.

As far as the Hawks ownership group. Someone need to inform them
and Mat Campbell a shoestring budget in 2018 won't be enough to
bring a championship to Wollongong.

It's hard to watch AJ Ogilvy play these days. Looks like he doesn't want to be there at all. Also, Hawks have got to make a change. Either Jett or Jackson has to go!

Hawks were horrible and didn't even try in the last quarter yet Sixers players celebrate like they won a playoff game? False hope, I don't think this game tells us much.

I know people get a bit nostalgic about the Hawks being the last foundation team left in the NBL but with how poor their crowds have been for more than a few years now with the Phoenix coming in next season I would actually prefer to see the league remain an 8 team league (play each other a perfect four times a season) and a team drop out which if it were to happen should be the Hawks.

Hard to get a read from this game.

Adelaide heavily reliant on Sobey and Moore but if those two bring it consistently they will be in the mix. Big if tho.

Sixers aren't world beaters we're a playoff bubble team that was playing below ourselves and have now added Conger to the mix. The Hawks are genuinely crap and clearly they and Cairns are the two worst teams in the league.

This season went up a level the moment Adelaide signed Conger

36ers now have the team to be major flat track bullies on their home court. No other team will want to go there for the rest of this season.

I never really knew about him before he joined the Hawks and in that first yearwhen he was with Penney and Lisch i was impressed.

That season must have been a absolute fluke because since that season he has been probably one of the worst players in the entire league.

And that is saying something.

Now watch 36ers fas go and get excited because they are beating up on one of the worst teams in the NBL.
