Sixers v Snakes Nov 23
The point isn't whether or not it was a charge the point is that it was a ridiculous situation to call a flop. There is often not much separating a charge and a block but a flop needs to be obvious otherwise don't call it.

I agree on this occasion with AD. I’m not sure it was a good decision, it it wasn’t indefensible. The defender went catapulting backwards from what looked like reasonably incidental contact. The commentators went way over the top in criticising the decision, it certainly wasn’t a clear charge.

"AD
A few hours ago
no, it makes at least two, and only the guy in the green shirt counts"
I bet the guy in the green shirt will see it as an error once he sees the replay so that just leaves you.

Haven't seen so much consistent ref-bagging for a very long time. Which, for me, is encouraging. Let me explain. I, too, bag and blame refs for results etc. I also know that I am biased. But to see this much "hate" on this game's refs really makes me think that we are heading towards pro wrestling's idea of fair play. Is the NBL's owner's real name Larry McManus?

Fearne had 113-111 regular season record his last eight seasons with one of smallest budgets in the league.

"I can certainly see how the ref may have interpreted it that way"
that makes a total of one person in the country

Fearne had 113-111 regular season record his last eight seasons with one of smallest budgets in the league.

and although I hate to see the snakes lose I also didn't want to see yet another year of fearne playing endless shuffle and flow offences..

Mike Kelly alluded to the issues he had with recruiting in the interview he did on Aussie Hoopla. He was appointed the Head Coach the day free agency opened up, and although he's too smart to say it, you get a sense that he had to pick over the dregs of what was left after other teams had swooped in and grabbed the pick of the bunch. I'm disappointed they have started so poorly this year but I'm more interested in how Mike Kelly fares once he's had a proper run into next year's free agency.

"They weren't consistently competitive under him though they missed the playoffs 6 of the 9 years he was coach."
You don't have to make playoffs to be competitive.

Brad Hill is Assistant Coach, I think this season will certainly be a baptism of fire

Wish that one commentator would stop saying "worried him out of the points" when someone misses a shot.
Someone's been following NBL for one second.

It takes two wins from three games to go from making the playoffs to making the grand final in the NBL.
People seem to think there is a big difference between the two.

They weren't consistently competitive under him though they missed the playoffs 6 of the 9 years he was coach.

Remember two grand final appearances this decade, third most in the league? Not bagging Kelly, he needs time, but people should be able to now recognise what an incredible job Fearne did to make Cairns so consistently competitive.

Wish that one commentator would stop saying "worried him out of the points" when someone misses a shot.
Sounds AFL-ish to me. And not really an applicable terminology to 99% of situations.

Disgraceful flop tech. That bald ref, I think it’s Chris Clark, could be the worst NBL ref in the last 10 years.

Surely Kuany starts ahead of...someone else?
Time for Kelly to try what hasn’t been tried.
You know what is said of those who repeatedly repeat what hasn’t worked and still hope for a differerent outcome? No need to be Einstein to offer an answer.

Moment of silence please for Kuany, Kelly, Nate, Melo

I reckon the only way to make NBL pay some attention to the reffing fiasco is for the losing team to just take off their stars for the last quarter or even the whole second half.
Why risk getting your stars injured when % doesn’t matter anyway? Turn it into a meaningless game and give the NBL the finger. (The bench players would love the practice anyway.)

It’s past the point of blaming the teams. They can’t help this crap.

Trimble charge call was bad.
Flop call was pathetic.
Common denominator being the umpires not having a clue as to what they're doing.

Wiley probably regretting that haircut even more considering these highlights of him will be all over the NBL's advertising for the rest of the season.

Sixers acting like they've won the GOD DAMN GF!!

Who could blame Mike Kelly?

Unfortunately Patty still has that locked down.
But this is fucking disgusting. You want to love something and it's being made so hard. It is so hard to take this league seriously and love it. I'm a fool for being so invested in this shit

The funny thing is with all the investment the NBL have made into this league they are destroying it themselves.
And they dont even know.
Do they ever sit back and wonder why ratings are awful?
Dumbest human beings on the planet

Adelaide would be far my intimidating if they could actually play defence to go along with their scoring.

Jesus fucking Christ that may overtake the Patty Mills call as the worst in the history of the league.

SHAMEFUL flopping call on Kiany

Twiddledee and Twiddledum in the green shirts, the league in great hands.

Well this is disgusting

Really wish Casey would talk about AFL more

DO NOT PANIC 36ers fans....Refs have your backs.
Just like Perth FANS, never ever stress, referees have your backs.
Must be a great feeling knowing this.

God I hate the Sixers. Creeping toward Perth territory in the hatred stakes

LOL in an 8 team league, you have a team as bad as Cairns..
Clearly the salary cap is biting in this league LOL

3 straight 3s to start the 3rd qtr, the referees breath a sigh of relief.
Secretluy they are DYING for the 36ers to win.
Home town heroes.

Lets see what happens if the Taipans come backand hit the lead.
ZERO chance the referees just sit back and let it continue..

Sizers are up by only 5 DESPITE having 9 more FT attempts.
Are the referees in the break panicking? I mean, the nost certainly want Adelaide to win, but do they just f##ck it, if it means the 36ers taking 30 more free throws and it means a 36ers win?
Be interesting what the referees are thinking here.
There first priority is to be fan favourites.

Do people actually watch the game or just the stats and comment?
