WA SBL - Nov/Dec

Here's the new thread for 2019.....
www.hoops.com.au/forum/44546-wa-sbl-january-2019

The only guy on the list that went somewhere else cause they couldn’t get run wasAnd why is that a bad thing?

You can’t call a player disloyal for playing for different clubs. That’s an absurd statement. Players are players and barring a few of them all were paid players and went where their lives were going to be better off making that extra cash. Bruton has been at one club for a long time now. Thomas seemed to follow parsons after his long stint in Gero. Mastrovixh was earning big money in kalamunfa and then travelled and shopped himself around for money. The only guy on the list that went somewhere else cause they couldn’t get run was.... well you can be the judge. Hussey is going where he’s going to enjoy playing and get paid.
What loyalty does he owe any club? Why does he have to stay in a crap situation?

So EAsley and Trav McIlroy

Back for another stint??? Wow

I see Triscari in the local paper saying he has a couple of players from the Perth region interested in playing and a couple training. Any ideas who they are or if they will be any value?

Lukosius do you have the women's list as well??
Are the Bensons the title holders for most clubs by a couple in the SBL??

Ettridge is a worry when it comes to GFs. Am I right that it's just a case of no one better being around so he isn't replaced? I agree we spend so much money to finish second. What a waste.

Where is Corey Easley playing in 2019?
Could he potentially join Justin Eckhart at the top of that list?

Five clubs or more.....
7 - Justin Eckhardt
6 - Austin Bruton
6 - Corey Easley
6 - Russell Haxby
6 - Adrian Majstrovich
6 - Adrian Thompson
5 - Ryan Benson
5 - Tim Feldhusen
5 - Kelly Huston
5 - Brett Spagnolo
5 - Daniel Thomas
5 - Billy Wade

Wolves won’t win regardless of how much they stack their team. Their game style is all wrong and defense doesn’t seem to matter much.

Okay, so who is up for doing a summary on how they see the mens teams looking so far?

That reminds me of when one of my family members actually donated to East Perth simply out of pity. Eagles were basically door knocking businesses for loose change. So on the one hand we have Wolves operating like a SEABL club while Eagles operate like they're in Waratah League.

Thanks Cameron

There's nothing stopping other clubs from signing up premium sponsors to fund signings. Except their ineptitude. I guess it's easier to be jealous rather than address revenue issues.
Awhooo... WOLFPACK

Jayden Coburn to Redbacks

Hahaha Slammers can't even get Livingston's name spelt correctly on the media release on the SBL Transaction Tracker

If the giants get that big import spot right they’ll be playoff contenders this year

The health of the three regional teams quite often will reflect the health of the league overall, so it will be interesting to see where those teams are at for 2019.
With 6-7" Kiwi Brayden Inger joining the Buccs next year, the starting fives that we know of so far....
Buccs
C - Import ??
F - Hunt
F - Inger
G - Import ??
G - Alipate
Giants
C - Import ??
F - Malek
F - Bowie (import)
G - Humphries
G - Holloway
Slammers
C - Weeden
F - Voelkel (import)
F - ???
G - Livingston (import)
G - Lay

Wow Bowie official

Well if it is Bowie back to the Giants, it shows they aren't mucking around. Already signed two very good Aussies from the eastern states, plus Bowie, plus a big import centre you would think, and you would assume Holloway will be back. That's a nice starting 5.
On top of that Julitz and Klatstorny from the Magic are training with them, and have the usual suspects Forlano, Hurst and Reid.

Bowie back to the giants

Holman back to the giants

I can't wait for the next announcement on who we've bought errr I mean signed. Even the ladies are stockpiling. F*ck we're good and loaded with talent AND moolah! Such a great fiscal club.
What a time to be alive as a dual Wolves and Wildcats supporter.
WOLFPACK
awhoooo

Cute write up about Ridell Camidge, just mix everything up and hope nobody checks it :)
Ridell started at Juco, he did go to an NCAA Div 1 college, the Charlotte 49ers, but he lasted only a year.
From there he went to a Div 11 College, Tarleton State and finished at Oklahoma City, a non NCAA university.
The numbers are great, but NAIA is not NCAA, thankfully he couldn't slide lower.
Now Ben stated that "His cultural-fit and work ethic set him apart", funny how he couldn't hang on his scholarships, with all those attributes and elite performance at the highest level he seems like a huge signing, foundation for a 3 peat :)

There's a topic? I just see people spamming "#wolfpack" and "ahwooooo" over and over.
Not that the SBL threads are worth reading 99% of the time anyway, but this is bad even by its normal standards.

LEL i thought the exact same thing. Has the arrogance and knowledge of either him or ben ny boy written all over it. Influential doesn't make you popular it just makes you look like an even bigger douche when you go sprouting off about it on social media forums. I am still trying to figure out why they are destination of choice for basketball!? Surely willetton and/or Perry Lakes would lay better credentials to that claim, at both wabl and sbl level LEL

#chokersnotchamps lel

Giants won't be at the bottom. They've already announced a couple of quality Aussie recruits from the eastern states, have a couple of ex-Magic guys training with them, and always end up with very good imports.

Slammerrs, Giants, Mandurah to compete for the spoon again this year. East Perth to be the big improvers and wolves to easily win title

Giants imports going to very interesting... have a good aussie group imports could get them back into playoffs....

Is this the Mark Worthington to Slammers rumour that comes every year??

Giants with another solid recruit, this time from the QBL.
www.goldfieldsgiants.com/2018/12/09/maleksigning
Add a couple of imports and they're starting to get together a solid line-up.

Travis McIlroy

None of them but do you know something I don't

Heard the Slammers have a couple of veterans about to sign, one straight out of retirement

Lots of talk about where Steindl is playing or where his missus is playing. Unless he gets another Cats contract it is hard to see him staying in WA to play SBL and I wouldn't be betting on him getting another contract just yet!!

Serious?

Have East Perth signed any imports or will they just load up on Wildcats?

I'm not a fan, I'm gonna wait and see what it looks like on Hire and Robbins before I decide?
