The Delly effect as a Cav (or the Cav effect on Delly?)
He must be getting traded
Surely the Cavs FO don’t want to win

Delly with 10 points and a +18 on the road in a win against the Pacers today in under 16 minutes. The team functioned far better with Delly as opposed to their starting point guard, Sexton, who had 0 assists. Delly didn't get any clutch minutes this time. He appears to be now too effective for a shamelessly tanking Cavs.

The real Delly probably never left even when he was at the Bucks.
Its a pretty simple case of him getting more minutes (or minutes in general) to actually play.

Amazing how a change in team can reproduce form. It's a fact most sportspeople will encounter over their journey. The saying of right place, right time holds stead, as shown by Delly. Opportunity is gold and if given a sniff, you must take it as Delly has. Shows the character in the guy and hats off to him.
I suspect this will not be lost on other NBA franchises.

I'm very happy for him and for the Boomers' backcourt options.
Must admit I was starting to buy into the Delly is washed up talk. Just goes to show what a difference the right situation can make.
Shout out to Torrey Craig as well - averaging 30+ minutes over his last 4 games.

Bucks had depth at the guard spot which limited Delly's limits and therefore opportunity to have an impact. He was behind Bledsoe, Brogdon, Connaughton and even DiVencenzo. Even though he isn't a guard they also play a lot through Giannis.
The Cav's are a better fit with their roster that is thin on pure PG's. Sexton is the obvious choice with Burks and Clarkson more suited to the playing the 2 spot. Neither of the latter two are ball dominant players either. I also believe that Delly will be great for Sexton's development as a mentor to him while also making sure he gives 100% at every practice. I remember Kyrie saying, when he was at the Cavs, that Delly would pick him up 94 feet in scrimmages which in turn made him a better player. I'm glad he has the opportunity to shine again in the league and show his worth to those that wrote him off. It's not the first time he has done that either!

We need him in form if Simmons does show up.

Just read from a rumour on Hoopshype that Luke Nevill will be on the Orlando Magic Summer League team. Not a bad situation for him considering they seem to be letting Daniel Orton walk this free agency.
Any other Australians been linked to play with Summer League teams?
