Mount Gambier officially join Premier League
And also Deng is borderline restricted player and speaking to every club in Adelaide too!

Are you really sure Burdon is there still?

Deng was at Mount gambier last year. Played one game then injured. Hung around for awhile before mutually agreed to leave. Wouldn’t be a surprise to see him back there. Daly, Burdon, deng, import, import makes them tough

So do Forestville go with Deng who's been there forever or go with DJ who might play a total of 17 minutes in regular season?

Interesting which guys will be restricted this year out of Majok, Drmic, McVeigh, Teys, Doyle.

Was the 2 restricted players rule in effect last year, if so how did forestville field an import and Teys and DJ? Or was there another exception made?

SEABL clubs were allowed 3 restricted players whilst PL clubs are cut off at 2. In PL Imports are counted as restricted along with W/NBL or D1 players in other qualifying leagues around the world that plays above 35% of avaliable court time, 2 of these players max. The SEABL had 3 classes A (Imports), B (W/NBL >50% court time) and C (W/NBL 35%-50% court time). SEABL clubs could have 3 of these players with 1 having to be C class.
These %s change slightly with the gender of the player

Boti has got some things wrong especially the demand to dilute the team. As for groundswell of support forcing PL teams to revisit the decision, moves were already in place by some Basketball Adelaide members to work the issues with the “no” voters - this was proactive and not reactive.
And let’s not forget that the initial vote still had more than half the clubs supporting the inclusion. Perhaps the Mount Gambier people critical of the PL clubs need to apologise to those clubs being supportive of their inclusion

I'm trying to explain the concepts of Restricted and Unrestricted Free Agency to a friend foreign to the NBA. We are discussing Linsanity's offer from HOU.
On the surface, it is pretty simple.
However, taking the NYK-Lin-HOU dynamic, I have one question regarding restricted free agency.
NYK is offering $25m over 4 years.
HOU is offering $30m over 4 years (backloaded).
I understand that NYK have a right to match the offer, but does Lin have to take it?
Seems pretty critical yet I could not answer.
If Lin has to stay in NYK for the matched offer, I think the RFA model is flawed.
It assumes money is the ONLY driver for signing with another team.
There are no consideration for things such as (not saying they apply to Lin @ NYK) more playing time, better team dynamics, favoured coach, being at home state etc.
Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
