I wouldn't have thought it'd be compulsory for players to get shipped to NBL because the NBA has announced its own thing. Maybe as a concession to the NBL, the NBA has given them a bunch of players as part of the deal?

Can anyone offer any more info?

Does BA need to go to a 2 division national championships system like Aussie rules? It is not good for anyone at all at National Champs to have teams pumped by huge margins.

By having 2 divisions, you will still get same amount of pool games, yet they will be all of higher quality. It allows the top teams to really compete hard game in, game out (like you need to at a world champs or Olympics) and also allows the div 2 teams to play a number of competitive hard fought games were wins are actually realistic.

It is so disappointing to see the likes of Vic Met thump ACT or NT or TAS by ridiculous margins over and over, nobody wants to play those games!!

For the sake of better development, let's get our state teams competing against other teams closer to each of their ability levels. I believe this is a first step to improving our junior competitions at a national level which will then consequently flow into the senior level
