To call the Magic professional is laughable, probably more likely completely insane. Whoever wrote that would be one of their “purple circle” of idiots who all sit around in a circle and break their arms patting each other on the back. Take a look at the results of the teams- wabl is a disaster and the Msbl has been the laughing stock of the league for many years now.
Professional.. that’s a bit of a stretch haha

Might be Bijan Johnson who took on DJ Kennedy the other night. Might add some feistiness to EP

East Perth picked up a DP from the 36ers too

So what young kids are playing for East Perth? Assuming it's most Wildcats DP's and training players in academy? Just a few names if people know

Anon 860 - thats a great story - but you are off the mark with your facts.
But well done for suggesting that the smaller clubs invest in human resources. Join their boards and put your nuts on the line to make it happen.

Thanks Mr Klasztorny

I would be adding Mandurah into the professional group.
have done an outstanding job in the last 2-3 seasons to turn around a large debt and are moving forward rapidly.
have a great facebook social media forum and would have to be up there with one of the largest domestic competions in the state.
keep up the good work Mandurah magic.

[Julian Pesava to redbacks, he's been killing it in Germany. It will be interesting to see how he goes. #gingergang]
In the regionalliga. Not to sound like a d**k but its literally the 4th division. They have German BBL, then ProA which we've had imports like Jordan Wild and Lee Roberts play in, then ProB and then Regionalliga. So he'll be good but to say his killing it is a bit overkill.

Is G Hire still classed as a restricted player?

"does anyone on here (apart from Lukosius as an SBL administrator) actually know what any club's salary cap spend is??"
those who actually know are not divulging such info on this shyt forum

it's a known fact that the Lady Wolves have not been spent on by anywhere near as much as the men's team ever

wolves women for the first time in forever have the same cap as the mens team, and they arent about to waste this opportunity to splurge

Correct and correct. In addition he played significant minutes when both Wildcats point guards (Martin and Kenny) were out injured.
Steindl's situation (compared to Wroe) is like chalk and cheese, and if it was our club thinking of doing something like this, it would be ruled out immediately. The grounds to request an exemption are just not there, and to be honest it would look a bit embarrassing (and desperate) if an SBL club even considered it.

Wasn't the argument with Wroe that there were several games where he played zero minutes, which therefore didn't count as games when determining his average? With those games included he dropped below the threshold.
He was also a DP, not a rostered player, wasn't he?

At the conclusion of NBL round 13, all the SBL clubs were supplied the official NBL Restricted Player list. And yes, Clint Steindl is classed as a restricted player for the 2019 SBL season.
However an SBL club does have the option of requesting an exemption if the circumstances favour the request, and this happened a couple of years ago in the case Corban Wroe and the Stirling Senators.
I will say though that the Corban Wroe example was quite a unique case, and it was also when the 'minutes played' threshold was 10mins per game - it is now 14.
When I look back at the Corban Wroe example, and I compare with Clint Steindl's situation/season, I honestly can't see any grounds where the SBL Commission would grant an exemption. I know all of the SBL Administrators (being one myself), and I'm quite certain none of them would have the arrogance to even attempt it.
And that's why I'm sure this is just rumour mongering.

He was therefore he is

if that gets approved you may as well throw the guidelines out the window

Because for the 12th time he is restricted

Because its a load of crap

14

Steindl averaging just over 14 a game so he is most definitely restricted.

Have they formed their church called WOLFPACK?

What about the Maleck dude that the Giants have pickup up? Wasn't he like the leading rebounder in the QBL last year?

Durnin made an error going to Mandurah. His career stagnates there just as everyone else’s does, with the exception of the occasional import.

Jesse Wagstaff would be classed as 'restricted' so that won't be happening99% of the rumours posted here turn out to be false.

Did East Perth just get rid of Easley or has he gone elsewhere?

Interesting read on those imports. A lot of Div 1 college talent there and no duds by the looks of it. Livingston looks to be the only one with questions as to whether his impact will be enough.
So only 14 out of a possible 28 imports have been signed/announced so far? That is a low number seeing we are now into January. As each years goes on, it seems more and more clubs are willing to sacrifice losses early in the years (due to imports not being here) just to save some $$$.

Definitely lost Easley? Where's he gone now?

Jon Morse is returning as one of their imports which is good for them as he's solid.
Have lost Easley.
Williamson going around again?
