2020 NBL season structure
Yeah I can't see a top five or top six; it was still top four last time there were nine teams.

Rabbit:
“n it's 1 v 4 and 2 v 3 best of 3”
So the “4” team is the winner of 4vs 5 in your proposal?
I like how you haven’t tried to overdo the “elimination” final series with too many games (only 2 more if my Maths is up to it). Remember that ticket sales and crowds are often down for semis. Unless tv want more finals games, the NBL would be well advised to not expand finals too quickly. Each season’s finals should be reviewed in context of regular season crowds. When demand for tickets reaches a high enough level, then increase the number of finals games.
“32 games season (8 x 4 games)”.
So each team would, presumably, get 2 mor3 home games (and 2 away).
Will this scheduling fit in with Melbourne and Pert venue availability? Both Melbourne teams should, imho, be taking some games to regional cities in Victoria. Could Oerth do this on a 1 game per season basis?
Will the season need to be extended? Or could we just have more mid-week games, tighter turnarounds or something? If the season was extended, it might put pressure on salaries.

“Huskies will be in after they smash the nznbl, very formidable squad put together.”
I want to see a Tas team in NBL, but it won’t be that soon.
The Huskies’ NZNBL lineup might be formidable in the context of the NZNBL, but:
1. Some of their NZNBL squad will be in other NBL teams
2. That squad aren’t all NBL caliber (but it will be a good opportunity for some to prove they’re worth an MBL shot).
Best wishes for Huskies and all developing programs in Australia.

Would 48-minute games tend to turn the league back towards bruise free basketball? Not a good thing if it went like that IMO.

48min games

I'm pretty lucky though, my wife does like sport if the game matters to her so any Perth based teams on Australia playing she's keen for. Another plus is she hates shows like Kardashians etc, the one thing I do have to leave the room for is Bold and the Beautiful. :/

Yet I bet you can't say a word when these sports-loathing wives are watching utter slop such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

My wife usually has the basketball on TV before I remember to turn my TV on :)
Watches BBL, WBBL, Tennis, NRL, QRL, and even Bathurst (and F1 races that are on at an intelligent time). So I guess I'm lucky.

Saturday night games for sure.
I enjoy coming home from work and watching a mid week game, my wife does not appreciate it so much...

Saturday games are a must.

Whether you win or lose the first game of a round, you never hear any team complain about playing another game 3 days later.
It doesn't sound like company policy but they either want to make amends for the loss or keep that winning feeling going

How much will salaries increase, or is it the same if the games are in the same amount of months? Ie,players are contracted for 5 months and have to play as many games in that span.

If the Doomsday Double was reintroduced does that mean we would have to give back the refs being in our pockets as a concession? :p

“Bring back a form of the "sunshine swing" (Cairns and Brisbane) and the “doomsday double” (perth and adelaide) and cut out this bull shit of playing friday at home travelling on saturday and playing sunday away.”
These 2 iconic road trips could be made over Thurs/Fri 1st match, followed by Sat/Sun 2nd match. Would this also cut travel costs overall, with fewer airfares?

They will keep it so that no 2 games overlap which is good.
It should be a shorter season with 24 games making it more appealing for quality imports, but I think they'll go to 32 games.

Perth to play on Sunday mornings

What a joke, he stuffed the club and got more money than boomers players!
Would he be the highest paid gm in Nbl? Glad he's gone now...
