Jordair Jett has been driving to the basket and scoring at will over Wiley and DJ this season. I thought Conger had a good game, was switched on and his was everywhere in defence. That pass from Sobey to Moore was something else splitting through 3 players. He also did a brilliant pass to DJ which went full length of the court which was centimetre perfect. Absolutely brilliant.

That's the issue with people who occasionally read this site and/or are bigoted. Unlike the real world where a person knows another's personality and reacts to things they say accordingly, on this forum you see textual messages in isolation and pair your own view of that person and their values onto what they say. You know how two different people irl will say the exact same thing, but it is interpreted two different ways?
That's because a person's personality provides context for the decoder. So an identical message could be understood two different ways simply because different people are saying it.

Anons used to stir me up and that's where a lot of the shit talk comes from. But I've recently understood that they're just cancer personified so I don't bother with them. Froling definitely deserves a huge amount of credit. He played some great defense tonight. His vertically is excellent. Roy Hibert circa 2013 would be proud. Great technique. Not to mention 2 massive clutch threes and a beautiful finish on the break.

Once again Manu you need to learn the game. Illawarra came out hard in front of a pumped up loyal crowd and shot 65% in the 1st half.
Their defence was amazing all game. The fact Adelaide weathered the storm and fought out a important road win speaks volumes and in my opinion makes them my favourites for the last spot in the playoffs.

UseTa, it's a shame that they will have spent decent money on Conger (apparently they did), yet not make playoffs. It took three players (Sobey, Moore, Conger) to have extremely efficient, clutch and dominant games like they did for the Sixers to win by the margin they did. Sobey shoots that well maybe once a month.

Conger doesn’t get big numbers often this season. Adelaide’s style does allow for varying levels of contribution, with different players stepping up each game.

Conger would be on more money than Deleon, and more than a “3rd Import”, but isn’t productive enough to be on star import money.

Whether he’s worth it will be determined by:
1. Adelaide making finals and him doing enough to help in that
2. Him stepping up in finals’ series to help win games
3. Increase in crowds/sponsorship etc.

For 1., Adelaide are definitely winning more now, but others are also performing better and finals are not guaranteed yet;
2. is dependent upon 1; and
3. we have no idea apart from crowds.

In addition to ratings and crowds being down for BBL and A League, they are both outdoor sports. Outdoor sports always draw bigger crowds, it’s cheaper to build and maintain outdoor venues on a per-seat basis.

In Australia, our climate is more suited to outdoor sports, especially in summer. The outdoor venues are now upgrading to include more shade areas for spectator comfort (think of the awesome looking sails over the GABBA, Carrrara, Adelaoval etc).
