Ramone Moore out injured for rest of season
Seriously? You're suggesting they went through this process so they could sign...Shaun Bruce?
You don't find it the least bit convenient that he gets a season-ending "strain" just days before the cut-off to replace him.
His replacement will be already on the plane, if not actually in Adelaide warming up.

A triggered anon... well bugger me
You took a piece of news that was discussed 24 hours before, then framed it as your own exclusive scoop.
Then get upset when called out.
Are you mentally challenged?

I heard the Sixers may be signing Shaun Bruce. You heard it here first

Doesn't make sense for Creek to come back now. He'd be leaving at the wrong time.
He is over there at a point in time when players are probably most likely to be picked up on 10 day deals with teams looking to tank etc (he can as I understand it be picked up by someone other than the Nets).

36ers should sign JR Smith or Swaggy P. They'd fit right in

Deja vu
Moore missed the end of the 16/17 season and was replaced due to a calf injury
He also missed some games earlier this season with a calf injury

Impossible, but is it possible?

Imagine if Creek came back to the rescue. Impossible, but theoretically could he play for Adelaide as he's signed for Melbourne next year, not this year?

Why is Moore so wildly inconsistent from game to game?

I don't believe the conspiracy theories but as Moore is under contract for next season I'm pretty sure that means he can't be cut now and it's probably also the reason the Kings never cut Wear because he signed a 2 year deal with them too.

Any of the conspiracy theorists want to explain how this differs from cutting him?

Good question Hendo! Can anyone confirm if Moore’s replacement can play finals? If they can, it’s worth spending a bit on a quality PG. If not, just save the money for next season.

Anderson or Deleon would be decent cheap options available at short notice.
Would play Sobey 40 min a night against Perth this week - all the chips are in the middle.

Is it already too late in the season to replace him, and have his replacement available for Playoffs? 8 games left, you'd hope that's long enough.

He's coaching Woodville I think.
Agree Captain Jack with Alan Anderson he looked reasonably impressive for an undersized PG in his pre-season games with the Bullets and you would hope with Joey's QLD connections he might be on our radar.

What's Darnell up to?

^ that would be business as usual under these circumstances, yes.

Yikes. Big blow for the Sixers, although on the positive side a lot more Doyle in crunch time! ... ;)

That will save me agonising over the small glimmer of hope we usually wait until the last round to extinguish.
Heal up quick, Ramone.
RIP Sixes 18/19.
Wonder if Sobes or Joey will be here next year. I'm betting no.

The Lions wish to announce trials for the 2012/13 season. Trials will take place on August 26.
The Lions have had significant growth in the past 3 years; 10 players having played, or about to play, overseas; both our U14 boys and girls teams making U14 Nationals this year; continued growth in the numbers of coaches and players in State programs; competitive Men’s and Women’s ABL sides; a large underpinning domestic, competition consisting of almost 300 players aged 10 or under; continued ability to attract and develop coaching talent.
The Lions continues to represent an opportunity for junior basketballers that want to play for a club with outstanding coaches and leading innovation in hollistic player development as basketballers and people.
Over the coming 12 months our focus will be to build on our successes and put in place a framework that provides the facilities, people resources, educational opportunities and networks that would be needed to develop WNBA and NBA prospects over the coming decade. We hope by building this framework our athletes will have a vision for their development and be given the best opportunities to achieve whatever their potential is.
