Go Lightning
I think I can see one possible reason why they aren't attracting sponsors...

ADELAIDE website
One in five women are the main breadwinners in the family. There is a fast growing female economy. Women have increased financial stability and, huge buying power and yet research shows that women don’t believe they are being represented in brand marketing.

Lightning have publicly given a figure of $500k is required. Playing half a dozen home games at Wayville is not going to generate that coin.

"Playing at Wayville etc isn't going to make them any money."
Im pretty sure that when they were playing there they were making a profit.
Lower running costs, and the same amount of people into the stadium as the Arena.
Even better, there was atmosphere, not echos!!!!

Lightning played a couple of seasons at Wayville about 10+ years ago. I like Titanium as there can be double headers - but stand alone games if they wanted to use another smaller venues no probs - I think the portable grand stand was the biggest cost offset. Then there is TV power requirements - don't know much about that but I'd imagine a decent power plug would be needed and food + drink.

I’d rather sell 300-400 tickets for cash at a smaller, cheaper venue than no tickets at a more expensive venue. Something needs to be done though.
Country venues?

Could the Lightning play home games at suburban stadia, timing it for after that club’s junior practices? Share the games around too. It used to happen, when Adelaide had 3 WNBL teams.

Rachael Sporn was hosting potential sponsors before their home semi-final.
They have also offered free entry to games at times and have still had abysmal crowds.

WNBL made ABC breakfast tv news.
Perhaps a Lightning Management could host sponsor prospects as a sweetener to try to get them over the line for next season.
Tickets for Juniors. How about 2 free kids with 1 paying adult, or flip it and 1 free parent with each paying child ticket?

SPOT ON ANON

With all their financial problems how could they capitalise on making the GF. They should be non stop talking to TV and radio stations, getting out and about in the mall etc. Even getting clubs on board and giving free tickets for juniors and packing the place out.

write up in todays advertiser - should get some more momentum as it gets closer.
I'll be there - hopefully Lightning marketing gets out there to clubs and radio stations / FB pages / Instagram / has ticket offers / family packages / competitions for tickets / some give aways via radio / tv etc.
I reckon 2,500 on Wednesday

Bugger me
Ch9 actually acknowledged the team on their News tonight- great to see

as title suggests, i cant find one. I have checked Davka and every Aussie game is there except this one. I wasnt able to see the game and even though I know the score I really want to watch it.
Thanks
