Patty is 5'11" and wasn't an NBA prospect even when he was drafted, or he wouldn't have gone 55th. We always give the big guys leeway because we know how long they take to develop, but for jets like Patty and Wigness, learning to play against competition they can't just blow by takes time, too.

I didn't think that Patty would evolve into a rotation player on a good team. He was turnover prone, not a great shooter, average defensively and a score-first PG when he was drafted. He has addressed all of those weaknesses over time and while he's never going to have the court vision of the league's better passers, he's miles ahead of where he was.

Wigness isn't a surefire NBA player, but I'd bet he gets there. Patty has provided the blueprint and Wigness is driven enough to do what it takes.

Sounds like Wigness started off slow but came on really strong. Great to see him shoot the 3 at a high rate, but I think given his size, the issue with form has less to do with actual mechanics, but rather the more slow/grounded release with which he shoots it for such a short player.

Was surprised to see that Uluc noted that scouts thought he needs to develop a stand-out skill to be considered an NBA prospect - I would consider his skill-set to be pretty dynamic (handle/speed, steal rate combined with solid shooting and passing), but rather his size seems to be the make or break factor for him to be an NBA prospect, I'd imagine.

I'm really rooting for him to break out, such a fun player and there's not a heap of upside talent coming through outside of him and McDowell-White (of which news/development has been pretty quiet lately). I feel like he's going to be a stud if he's at least 6'2.
