Atlanta sign Isaac Humphries for rest of NBA season
Played 5 minutes in a winning team today with no Embid in the 76ers, total stat of nothing’s, 0 from 3 shots and minus three. Not certain why didn’t get more time.

Surely time now for Amritpal Singh to get the call up.

This possibly doesn't happen if he was signed to somewhere other than the Kings/Gaze shitshow in the NBL. Funny how things work out.

And he's scored:

I don't really follow NBA...
So what's the deal with these kind of signings, and 10-day contracts??
Are they filling a legitimate (on-court) need?
Taking out insurance against multiple injuries and/or foul trouble?
Looking to stir things up and motivate their existing bench players?
Fulfilling some kind of promise or hand-shake deal, eg "come and play for us in the G-League and we'll make sure you get a few NBA games?
Genuinely evaluating the player for a future possible signing?
Filling some technical requirement to have "X" number of players on their active roster?
Tying up some kind of contractual basis, so that they have the option of trading his signature for a bag of beans?
Some combination of the above?

Hope he makes the most of his short opportunity which could lead to summer/training camp invites.

Ironically he probably gets paid more if it's not a 10 day contract.

I could be wrong but I worked out that after today Atlanta have 8 days left in their season.
Will play 5 games in those 8 days.
Probably explains it
