Kings sign Shaun Bruce

Melbourne were always at risk of a Ware injury, and it didn't happen. I guess reality is that if it does happen, you go looking for another import quick smart, and in the mean time you just need a spud to hold his towel. Advantage being that if you sign somebody like Bruce for low coin, it frees up a bit more of the bench-cap to squeeze in Moller and hopefully Kickert.

You are right...this isn't going o sell out the new stadium unless the PG is Trimble / Ware level.

At least with Bijan we know we have someone who will do exactly as Joey asks, that's a positive I guess.

Adelaide just had to sign Bruce, not spectacular but gees he could provide some cover minutes (he wasn't terrible).

Adelaide knew him, have the cash and can offer the most playing mins ....yet he goes to be a back up to a back up.

I'd like the Kings to look like
Ware / Bruce
Lisch / White
GUN IMPORT 3 / Newley (6th man of the year)
Moller / Kickert
Bogut / That young 5 (Hunter was it?)

& carry a DP in their 11 for later evaluation - implementation based on injury & need flowing in to the play offs.

I think Moller at 4 for his rebounding & a gun 3 import to combat the other gun 3s in the league.

Just IMO. : )

Who knows what's going on with the Sixers. It's been alleged that Teys has re-signed but nothing has been announced about that unless maybe he's got a coaching clause in his contract and it won't be announced until after the Joey situation is resolved.

I was looking forward to see how Bruce would go coming back with a full pre-season with the group as the definite back up point. Adelaide's offseason just gets worse by the day.
