FIBA U16 Asia Champs boys+girls
Thought 04s Pierre, Amum and papacostas were good in the post. I wonder how they compare with 03s McWilliams, pennisi and Thomson etc.

Calling BS on the inclusion. SA know the score and truth will prevail within games and if it doesn’t it will show we do have a problem with selection because he got hammered by apparently lesser players in SA.

Oceania u17s (02/03 born) start mid next month and supposably u16 Asian champs (03/04) are not too long after.
Will be interesting to see if they add anyone from the u16 aus champs. A Few boys did really well.

As mentioned above basketballers been picked because of familiarity and upcoming talent not even considered.

some continue to be invited despite there being no progress in their game and relationships are already built. Shame that upcoming talent is overlooked over past talent that are probably needing to be released. disappointing but there are other avenues to succes outside the limited state and national programs

No wa metro men or women
No wa country men or women
No act women
No nt men or women
What happened to wa? Have had several boys over the last few years and now none.

Hopefully just the first camp of many. Teams should be selected after u16 ajc in July.
Some good 04s not on the list around.

Some players will make it wherever they are because of who they are regardless of how they play!

Ingham No longer SA. Dad now at Knox and still associated with National Coaching Group. Did he still make it despite not being in a State side these nationals ???

Might have got a few wrong but I gave it my best shot.

And there is the prediction from SA. The new 1st year is the real star of SA basketball and you would not find an opposition coach or player who does not respecr his game and who is is as a young mna. Do yourself a favour and write down his name. Thats my pick for going all the way over and above the other 3 from SA and the SA expat. Size is not enough, its length, IQ, athleticism, coachability and character that gets players noticed beyond Australia and he has all of that an more to come. I’ve been watching these age groups for years and picked it years ago along with others and 18 Nationals was his breakout tournament. We knew it would come eventually.

No w.a kids...
Surely that bottom age kid in metro should have got a look in.

List just came out. Some interesting new names...

All the u16 ajc teams have been announced. I wonder if any 04 kids will make it.

The old Norwood boys connection from SA! Wonder how that works out

Will be a completely different women's team from the Oceania one.

Japan boys.

Japan girls.

Yes, Japan are improving at a rapid rate. They move the ball too quick for us at junior level and shoot it at a high clip. The girls team also have 3 over 6'2 in the current squad camp. the same as us.

Japan are definitely on the up with their international basketball good results at some levels.

Looking at the other nations rosters,
I think we might struggle to qualify for the WC in the boys. Won't breeze through like last time. Japan, china and Korea will also be difficult in the women's but we will still likely get through to the WC. Not sure in first place though.

Boys tournament in Beijing china. Girls in Tokyo Japan. No date yet.

Toohey from act

FIBA has not decided yet LOL
From SA:
Ipassou, Rasmussen, Thomson, Ingham, Smelt
Suggest that there be no commentary or analysis on kids under 18.

But when are the championships? smh

The first camp is in 3 days.

When is the Championships?

Hi all I am currently looking for one to two players to play QBL next seson. I am looking for two bigs if possible but would settle for one big and a swing man. If anybody knows of any Austrlians that would fit this please let me know.
