Frank Vogel to coach LA Lakers

Interesting the reporter is only pursuing Walton in a civil court, she doesn't want him to go to gaol on a criminal attepted rape/sexual harassment charge.

Yeah exactly, you don't turn down three years worth of huge salary because you want five when no one else wants you as a head coach. He didn't want to go through with it again quite simply. His health deteriorated to the point he took close to a month off during one of the last LeBron-led Cavs seasons.

Vogel is a very good coach but yes, Kidd will cause problems. LeBron and Kidd are buddies, expect a slow start and if they can get Davis the axe will swing. Kidd has been a terrible coach, never served an apprenticeship and made questionable calls, huge ego. And he was terrible in setting an offence and Vogel is a defensive coach. I suppose LeBron will be bringing in the offence. One thing Kidd could do is mentor Ball.
Very interesting that Lue turned it down even with 3 year offer instead of 5 and stipulation of Kidd on bench.

What a dumpster fire the Lakers are. They couldn't even manage to hire the LeBron patsy Tyronn Lue. Lue wanted 5 years but the Lakers only wanted to give him 3 years the same amount of years left on LeBron's contract.

There were also reports the Lakers told Lue they wanted Jason Kidd on his coaching staff, the guy also applying for the same job as him. That would've been suicide for Lue so he told them to get stuffed.
