Not suggesting there is anything to this rumour, evidence would suggest otherwise, but it does raise an interesting idea.
I have no idea what the attraction is, but Shawn Marion Is (was?) part of the ownership group, and we Bogut was getting a slice of the Kings.
If being involved in ownership of an NBL team is something that attracts ex NBA types, is the Bogut deal something we could see more of?
Especially considering the way Bogut was recalled to the NBA...
Guys without a current contract come down and play a season or two, with a slice of ownership and guaranteed MVP award as the signing bonus?

Obviously not likely to happen as per comments above.
BUT if it did, it would be amazing. Melo would shred the NBL. In his games for Houston this year he averaged 13 ppg. Has anyone left the NBL and even gotten close to those sorts of numbers in the NBA? (since say 2010, when imports started to move to the NBA e.g. Ennis)

Can't believe SEN ran with this.

At least when the Baron Davis to the Kings rumour did the rounds, Davis actually responded to the rumour and implied he'd play 20 mins a game.
