Sterling Brown comments on nbl
My reading is that he was flown in for some kind of corporate function. And he has said some nice things about Australia, including it being a respected destination for America players.
So presumably when asked if he would play in the NBL, he has replied that he would consider it.
I think our country and league have always been well regarded by "those in the know", but it would seem we are finally getting more wide-spread acknowledgement within the bball community.
I doubt Brown is going anywhere soon, whilst he continues to get games for the Bucks, but I guess he knows that careers can be uncertain.
We're now seeing more ex-NBA players come to us whilst they still have juice in the tank.

Sorry to harp, but I can't help but feel you guys have it wrong.
The noise Townsville will make this season will put Maria Sharapova to shame, I tell you.
Townsville's problem was inconsistency, with Gill especially being almost bi-polar in the way he approached it game by game. No inconsistency with Ervin. Mims was taking minutes off Blanchfield and the likes, a waste of an import spot. Abney makes the team so much more balanced because they now have four bigs. They have the same core, even thought it's going to be "Gary's team", it's the same guys and they are all quality players.
