SEM IMPORTS?
Lol to D2.0 "training fodder"
Creek has been invited to return early and start pre-season training, due to his superior work-ethic. ie Training Fodder.
If he accepts, he won't be playing for SEM. simples

Matur Maker not listed as being under contract by Slovenian team on Wikipedia, not sure what the team's website says as my Slovenian is about as good as my Slovakian.
Not sure if he's eligible as next stars player if he's played two years pro in Europe tho....

10 day contracts pay that well huh

Lol to D2.0 “training fodder” making a team in the best league in the world and becoming a millionaire Vs NBL.......hmmmmm. Really?

^Agreed. I think if they lose Creek, they might go after Jerome Randle at the PG spot. Or play Adnam/Gibson at the Point, and chase after a solid SF & Center. Worst case scenario Jerry Evans Jr and Bairstow???

You would hope they're making good progress on an import 1 or 5.. those are clear needs regardless of Creek's situation.
Matur Maker would be a great Next Stars pickup assuming he's eligible (I didn't consider the idea of bringing in a local as a N.S.). Would be a great backup 4 and with his length could play 5 as well, assuming his matchup wouldn't completely overpower his frame. Don't know how realistic it is to bring him over to the NBL though, hasn't been much talk of him playing in Aus.
I think Gibson will backup the 2 and Adnam the 1, and they're pretty good in those roles - don't think bringing in WMW or LaMelo really suites their needs. Would love to see both those guys join another team though, obviously assuming WMW doesn't get drafted.

As many have said, their problem lies with Creek.
Question is whether he wants to stay in the US as training fodder.
If they lose Creek, then they need to sign an import SF. They've basically got nobody else who can play the starting role.
(I suppose you could instead sign a SG, and start Madgen at SF, but its robbing Peter to pay Paul.)
My personal view is that you need somebody way better than Gibson and Antman to run the point. But I would surmise that Mitchell disagrees.
In which case I would imagine they will chase an(other) import 4/5 to start at Centre alongside Wesley.

"a next star can also be a Aussie player"
Could also be a Fijian, but what are the chances?
And who cares, their nationality is irrelevant so why would they restricts themselves?

a next star can also be a Aussie player

Matur maker would be great to have young enough to be a nextstar player

William McDowell white as backup pg.
Matur maker as backup pf.
Import pg.
Import c.
Dufelmeier as dp pg.

I think they should sign LaMelo Ball as a Next Stars player. Could be a circus but for a brand new franchise trying to make a name for themselves it would certainly create some headlines for them.

Should be a great season opener for Adelaide. At the very least it has to be better than last year's season-opening massacre at the hands of Perth. Seems all of Adelaide is tipping the 36ers. I am too but expect it to be a bit closer than many expect.
My tip: Adelaide by 8
