It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

On the one hand, yes, Hickey's attempt to get the DEC and leverage that is clearly dead, but with Kestleman's involvement I'd say chances of an NBL team just went from 5% to 95%.

Now Kestleman MIGHT do what he did in Brisbane, establish a league funded team then look to onsell it later.
Or he might accept an outside bid to establish the team using the facilities he's built.
And that could conceivably be the Huskies.

I guess it depends on whether he believes he can do business with Hickey, and whether he likes the Huskies model.
