EMUS GONE
Kody Stattmann has always been an excellent young player.
Unfortunately his main strength, his 3 ball, just wouldn't drop in this tournament shooting a horrible 21% from there

So much wasted opportunity with the same players eyed upon for individual talent or other we shall not speak of and missed opportunities to scan talent across the country. BA relying on their state counterparts to send the right players to tournaments and clubs and schools as well. Would be better to have independent representatives who know local comps and advise on hidden talent. And look for what you need to make the team, not make a team of who you think are the best, that leads to unbalanced, selfish teams. The other issue often talked about is the rate of development for players is so variable you need fresh eyes with no relationship to the player to truly see what the talent is. Its human nature to see more positives than negatives in people you know and then even more so if you just like them. It is something we are unable to control and involuntary in thought. We see it all the time, the class favourite at the expense of others and in all relationships it is difficult to be impartial. Its how we chose our friendships. We need a change in the process and maybe opinions.

Bugger! Just when I dared to dream. Ten days back it was reported locally that the Thunder were considering interstate and international applicants. Really? If indeed Thomas is reappointed, how on earth does the Thunder board justify going with the status quo? Un-bloody-believable!
No imagination, no progress. The local NWBU and Thunder organisation continually look inward. Stand to be corrected but reckon for the last 20 odd years it's been Thomas, Radford, Armstrong for about 12 months and then back to Thomas. All locals.
This was a perfect opportunity to rejuvenate basketball on the NW Coast. A fresh face to cast an unbiased eye over local talent.
The last 2 years have been ordinary and now we get more of the same?
Thoroughly disappointed.
