Hillcrest Stadium change over

My understanding was that 18 months ago the project was revisited and expanded after consultation with key stakeholders. There is no cost blow out as such but and expansion of the original proposal

Can you confirm courts are full size. Fear could be arc over again.

Typical cost blowouts when government departments involved. I would like to see a price comparison for a private build of a basketball stadium. Some private schools have some pretty decent gymnasiums and would not have spent anywhere near this amount.

Anyone know if the court they will use for premier league will be named after Jo again?

Two premier courts, cafe admin area then three courts in the back. All one building

Yep the ARC is great for roller ball and badminton

AJC not a factor surely it's the viabliity and usability. ARC clearly wins allroubdhere for community engagement. Which has signifucant spinoffs for basketball.

Yes Arc is a great community centre. It just isn't a great basketball stadium and has no chance of ever running an AJC.

Let the smart arse groaners loose. Only 5 courts. Too many lines. Arc is a great community centre. Let's not forget that.

Yes they do but can it be used for District basketball? The lines are a nightmare for this court. I am unaware of any District games played there - in fact at times North get “evicted” from Hillcrest for their home games so that Norwood can play their home games there

If ever there was a waste of taxpayers money then the ARC is it!

Arc has two full size courts and three 3/4 size courts which are good for badminton

The Hawks hosted the Wildcats at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong on Sunday with both teams entering the match with undefeated records, but Deleon’s efforts ensured that it was the Hawks who remained perfect.

The American guard scored 26 points as well as adding two rebounds and one steal as the Hawks romped past the ‘Cats to a 100-67 victory and improved to 5-0 for the season.

Deleon made 8-of-11 from the field (73%) including 3-of-5 three-pointers, and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the freethow stripe.
Runners up were Jamar Wilson (25/9/2 in a home win) and Cedric Jackson (22/7/7/4 also in a home win). Plus Ben Madgen for 25/3/3.5 across an 0-2 week.

Honourable mentions were:
Cameron Gliddon (Cairns), Adam Ballinger (Melbourne), Oscar Forman (Wollongong), Matthew Knight (Perth), Luke Schenscher (Adelaide), Alex Pledger (New Zealand), Stephen Weigh (Adelaide), Chris Goulding (Melbourne), Gary Ervin (Townsville) and Mika Vukona (New Zealand).
Easy choice this week - 26 points in 21 minutes against the top backcourt around. Would've added half the Hawks to the honourable mentions as guys like Martin and Davidson were very good also.
