I wouldn't even say guaranteed a medal. I'd say they're still favourites overall, but only marginally, and there's probably 8-10 teams that could easily upset them on any given night. Could be a rough one for them.
With all of the withdrawals and a format which means you can't have any mistakes, this looks to be the most wide open World Cup ever.
