I wondered if this was purely a publicity move. e.g., SEM offer Dante a small stake at no cost. Maybe they just ask for quotes for the press release or do it in exchange for an appearance each time he's in town. Low risk for him, assuming he's not on the hook for costs/losses, and gives them headlines for the cost of a stake in a business of difficult to determine value.
