There is an Aussie coach who has been analyzing the Boomers on Twitter. Worth reading the threads that he has tweeted for the games.

Anon 758999, which of the available players would have you replaced Sobey, Gliddon and Kay with? It's easy to to say player x shouldn't be playing but who should be in the squad to replace them?

Dave, I wrote a heap on your post then decided against it. Then, read yours again and felt I had to respond.
I do not disagree (double negative intended) but feel strongly that you are only looking at the extremes. Here's what I mean.
You wrote, "If you take Giannis and Hachimura out of the Greece and Japan team respectively they would suddenly become very average teams and lose most of their matches."
What happens if you take Pop off the USA team? They will lose lots of games to lots of teams.
And Pop's job is? Team strategies etc, read team-fit.
Will we win again? If Pop doesn't change some things we will.
What I was going on about, before I deleted it, was along the lines of that last point, the Boomers win over the USA. Our players did not suddenly become better than theirs, not even for one, flukey game. Our team-fit was definately the difference highlighted by how some of our players were made to look like superstars while all they were doing was playing their role in the team game. We won.
See what I mean?

Great insights!
Here are some takes on Canada ahead of their opening World Cup game.

Yes fantastic, and very smart.
