Premier League Basketball Coaching
Last 2 weeks in fact.
Centrals 56 - West 123
Centrals 51 - Southern 125

Confirmed today by Norwood, their premier league coaching lineup.
Women's Head Coach: Derrick Washington
Men's Head Coach: Mike Malat
Both residing from Texas...The American Flames!

So the word is around the traps that Centrals womens new coach is bringing several players along from other clubs so they can field a team. Good on him I say.

And to think 5 years ago their U14 girls were playing u14 nationals, 16 girls making classics and Premier League was making finals.
The current people and ones just before current people complained that unprecedented success was not based on a "sustainable model" so those that built it said "go for it do it yourselves". Not sure much is being sustained right now out there. Don't get me started re: the boy's program.
Basketball people that get involved with clubs are generally nutcases and apt at creating failure.

"I think we are going to surprise some people"
If you are talking about actually fielding a team then yes we will be surpised!

I think we are going to surprise some people!

"Sean Richards?
Oh dear. So Centrals have officially given up on their Premier League women?"
That happened a long time ago.

Sean Richards?
Oh dear. So Centrals have officially given up on their Premier League women?

Did not even realize they still had a team

Dont look now but Centrals women on the prowl! Things are looking up!!!
Centrals Premier League womens coaching anouncement:
Central Districts Basketball Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Richards to the position of Head Coach of the Women’s Premier League.
Sean’s role is to establish the culture necessary for future success by developing the young list he inherits. Sean has a background in Psychology and Education and is a vastly experienced coach having been the JDO at both Norwood and Woodville.
In addition to his Junior Development officer roles, he coached the Girl’s U18/1 teams at Norwood, where he made Classics with successive teams and similarly with Woodville where he coached division one teams across all age groups to U23’s.
Since 2003 Sean has coached Division one teams for several clubs across Adelaide and is the Head Coach for the Adelaide All Stars which tour the United States providing opportunities for young players to display their abilities and achieve their college dreams.
Sean holds level 2 basketball and Netball coaching certificates and has strong links with various sporting associations.
Sean is keen to forge ties with country areas and provide pathways for juniors to access whilst creating an environment where hard work and commitment are social norms and form the basis for the cultural shift needed to attract and retain players who want to achieve their personal best. Sean is under no illusion of the challenges ahead, made greater by the recent retirements of several senior players, but he is excited by the enthusiasm of those players wanting to step up.

Jordy “Towel Waving” Wilson to save Norwood

704 my thoughts are that your post is the worst troll attempt ever.

Heard Andrew and Daniel Webber had an argument and Chris Webber took Daniels side so Andrew is looking at leaving as he doesn’t want to play with his brother anymore. Aparently Woodville are keen but centrals are a strong chance too what are your thoughts?

Thomas to Woodville looks likely this year. Valk to Norwood would be interesting, could be a nice back up to King Webber. Kubank to study improves study a touch.
West really losing their young core if true

The west womens roster could be interesting.

Dean Nyberg looks to be moving to a new stacked location with the adelaide uni boys coach. According to instagram stories he is in gold coast and surely trying to recruit a few familiar faces to play D1.
$$$

yeah he is terrible, doesnt defend, rebound, score or block shots..

Forestville looking at Brine?

Devon will be a big loss at Mavs as it looks like they have lost their entire starting unit bar Stock? Forum users bag the club or their Mens team but if you look at the results they were in about 80% of their games but couldn't get over the line.

Petty loading up big time at South. Must be plenty of $$ to go around, albeit they mustn't much this past season.

Vozzo is going nowhere JW will reward him for bad attitude and all about me persona. This just another example of why Mavs culture is in the toilet.

Eastern have had 3 boys in underage Aus squads in just about successive years.

Brunson how about developing the juniors like every other club does! The current coach has had 4 years to put a strategic plan together. The first couple of years OK but beyond that and you don't move off the bottom then there is something wrong.
His role if I am correct prior to this was junior DO so he probably had beyond the 4 years prior to accepting the role to put things in order and have a clear vision of where the club-team will be.
You are in dream land if you think this is acceptable but in reality NOBODY wants to coach at Mavericks so the club has no alternative.

Mavs non negotiables recruiting policy for Mens PL:
1. Not a club junior
2. Must have been at multiple clubs (the more the better)
3. Cant get a game anywhere even at reserves level
4. Bad attitude or the ability to develop a bad attitude
5. Be more interested in yourself than the team, coach or club
6. Will be made captain if you can have a "toe to toe" argument during a game with your coach

If true I cant believe Warhurst has still got a gig at Mavs. 4/4 wooden spoons isn't exactly a great record.

troll? no ..I actually put a name to my comments and stand by them
look at the list and check the CV's and pedigree of that team
WNBL players, national players..
Was by no means ANYTHING to do with the talent on the floor and bench ( in playing uniforms)

Boti capable?...what a laugh
you call a first game Finals exit a great season?
no scout each and every week?
by far the most talented group of Women in the comp, the blown budget backs that up
the Association all star five player starting every game on the bench?
yeah..Boti was capable

Boti won't/shouldn't be back. It was a disapointing season with one of the most talented lists in the comp.

Cant see Mavs or Warhurst keen on keeping Vozzo after the yelling match and name calling at Marion in the last game of the season!
