As far as I know, only the tickets in the upper stands were free if you knew the code and even then you could only buy 2 per person. I'm assuming most people in the lower area paid?

According to Boti in his review of the game the crowd at the AEC was 6,366 that's incredible for a preseason game.

Adelaide, Cairns: Best case 6th, worst case 9th, likely 8/9th
Illawarra, NZ: Best case 4th, worst case 8th, likely scenario 6th/7th
SEM, Brisbane: Best case 2nd, worst case 6th, likely 4th/5th
Mebourne, Sydney, Perth: Best case 1st, worst case 5th, likely 1st to 3rd

It’s hardly whinging - anyone with a pay interest in the game wants to be able to see player stats at the game - surely they can display points and fouls.

Agreed but like last season when I couldn't read either stats board at the ends of the court, I suspect I will be relying on live stats on my mobile once again.

Does anyone have insight into the lack of stats on the scoreboard. Even a cramped one on the corners would be appreciated.

Good spread of scorers, Melbourne won 100-91
United: Trimble 19, Ili 18, Goulding 14, Lual-Acuil 14, Smith-Milner 10
Sixers: Griffin 16, Froling 13, Taylor 12, Johnson 11, McVeigh 11, Moore 10
DJ's efforts on the glass in these preseason games have been a bit concerning but having said that if we beat Utah next week we finish with a 5-5 preseason record ;)

Its always a tough life been a point guard in a joey wright lead team.
Also get the feeling teys and drimic not really liked in the nbl by other players

play that again KET. So the same team which has so far had some good results suddenly is without talent and just hopeless . take it easy it is a training match - enjoy life

It’s a week before regular season starts, Adelaide don’t have the talent to afford a slow start.
The difference between 36ers having a bad preseason game and other NBL sides is that other NBL sides have the talent that when they need to hit the extra gear they can do that. Adelaide have to rely on slick movement, team work, rebounding and defence and they are far less ready than most sides at those aspects at this point in time. That’s a problem.

amazing how the negative people have come online again tonight ...... at least a lot more positive people have gone to watch the game

Its like the 2 British commentators have nvr watched nbl b4, tays tsk tsk.
Going to be a long year for the 36ers

I’m liking the commentary, no raving or yelling. Melbourne doing it easy even without Prather. Illi a great pick up for Melbourne.

Yeah when it’s quiet it’s really bad. Was more talking about the sight lines and distance. Would also like those lights dimmer. Also any kind of stats.

Terrible commentary, sounds like they are doing a bowls game

Either we've forgotten how to make noise when the other team is taking free throws without Hungry Jack's on the line or we need more wood to stamp our feet against.

Honestly so far not as bad as first feared. Would still not want to have a seat right near the back though. Parking is worse if you want a free option though.

Noticed in a weekly CPA email I received, there was a ruling on a tax appeal for a financial supporter of the Hawks. Thought you may be interested in case you ever decide to 'invest' in an NBL club!
