Awww, no bullet train hype?

Could Boone be ousted?
He's still got plenty to offer, but I'm guessing it's not long till they work out what seems obvious- that he's not the right fit. Not when they have Ogilvy, Andersen and Froling.

Brooks has to start over Naar. Tbh I'd almost consider Blanchfield coming off the bench as 6th man being the offensive go to of the 2nd unit with Naar as the facilitator. Not sure about Ogilvy and Boone starting together either but their options are kind of limited.
Lots of solid pieces for the Hawks this year, but going to be a challenge to work out how to fit them all together.

Not certain Naar will be to happy with Ball being there either, lamello all class though and must play. Illawarra seem to have to many guards.

Kevin or Aaron Bricks?

I think we all suspected that inexperience would be an issue for the Hawks but they gave it a decent shake. Enjoyable enough game. Hopefully Bricks improves from that shooting effort.

Yes but historically that is an average crowd for them at WIN. Not in recent seasons however with attendance taking a nosedive.

Average crowd of ~3,500 although today is the NRL Grand Final so it isn't an accurate barometer of what's to come.

Something about teams coached by Lemanis and stickers. Will someone in the crowd throw a chair at someone next or just tip a beer on them?

Jack Heverin was one of the new names mentioned when the league announced the commentators for this season. Calls a range of sports from AFL to lawn bowls.

Getting people with sport commentary experience in radio to commentate sport (with the added benifit of not having a all about me personality that some ex-footballer commentators have). Better idea than throwing the ex Europe correspondent in the deep end of calling games.

NBL TV stream not loading for me. Too much demand to see LaMelo at a reasonable USA-friendly time?

Is the sbs stream not showing for anyone else? Like no link at all on the sbs on demand website

I wonder if they will actually interview lavar, and what he will/would say.
He has been sooooo quiet and lowkey by his standards the last few months in Australia. I don't think we would see anything too outlandish from him in an interview.

Shouldn't Isaac or Jack Toft be doing the game write ups.
They do a much better job.

Injuries suffered during Round 11 of the iiNet NBL Championship have seen a couple of players receive a late call-up to participate in the 2012 National Basketball League All-Star Game at Adelaide Arena this Saturday (22 December).
Townsville Crocodiles swingman and London Olympian Peter Crawford has been added to the bench of the North All-Stars Team as a replacement for injured Sydney star Ian Crosswhite after the Kings centre was forced to withdraw due to an ankle injury.
Perth’s Kevin Lisch has also been forced to withdraw from the game after suffering a Grade 2 groin strain. Lisch will be replaced on the South All-Stars team by local favourite Jason Cadee of the Adelaide 36ers.
As Lisch was voted in as a starter, Melbourne Tigers star and former number six NBA Draft pick Jonny Flynn has been elevated to the starting line-up for the South, while Cadee will come off the bench.
